The purpose of this study is to provide the basic data of manual therapic approch through to study correlation with the weight bearing ratio, functional balance and functional gait on patients with stroke. 39 patients with stroke are participated in this study. We use the TUG test to measure balance and the FAC test to measure functional gait. We consider that score over 20sec are high balance function, and score 20sec and under are low balance function on the TUG score and that score 0〜2 are lower balance function, and score 3〜5 are high balance function on the FAC score. At first, we measure the weight bearing in the quiet standing posture and the weight bearing in the quiet standing posture after performing standing-task. The weight bearing ratio in the affect side about the balance in the quiet standing posture and the balance in the quiet standing posture after performing standing-task is taken to calculate the weight bearing ratio in the non affected side on that in the affected side. The scale to assess balance, TUG, is significantly correlated with the weight bearing ratio in the affect side on the quiet standing posture balance(p〈0.01), the scale to assess functional gait, FAC, is significantly correlated with the quiet standing posture balance and the post tasked quiet standing posture balance(p〈0.01). Therefore, to measure the balance in the quiet standing posture after performing standing-task is considered meaningful scale to measure not only balance function of patients with stroke, but also gait function, and it would be used the new scale to measure the functional gait.
