Two of three hederagenin glycosides were indentified as a-Hederin, C_41H_66O_12. mp 247-249˚C, [a]D^25+18.0(pyridine)[3-0-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-a-L-arabinopyranosyl-23-hy-droxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid]...Ⅰ and hederagenin pentaglycoside, C_59H_96-O_26, mp 226-228˚C, [a]^25D-8.0(pyridine), [3-0-a-L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-a-L-arabinopyranosyl-23-hydroxy-olean-12-en-28-0-a-L-arabinopyranosyl-(1→4)-B-D-glucopyranosyl-(1-6)-B-D-glucopyranosyl-ester]...Ⅱ, respectively. The other one hederagenin glycoside was understudy still unknown compound.
