여성기업인의 경영활동 특성에 관한 연구 = 대구ㆍ경북지역 여성기업을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

여성의 기업 활동에 대한 중요성이 커지고 있음에도 불구하고, 이에 대한 연구는 많지 않은 편이다. 본 연구에서는 대구ㆍ경북지역 여성기업인의 경영활동에 대한 실태분석을 통하여 여성기업의 창업특성, 자금조달 및 운영에 대한 특성, 경영성과, 경영활동의 애로사항 및 정부지원정책에 대한 인식에 대해서 실증분석하였다. 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 창업에 있어서 창업지원기관 이나 자금지원기관 이용시 애로사항이 많은 것으로 나타나고 있어 정보와 자금에서 열위인 여성기엽인에게 경영서비스를 지원해 줄 창구와 전문적인 프로그램의 개발이 필요할 것으로 보인다. 둘째, 기업의 자금의 조달 및 운영면에 있어서 여성기업인은 성장성 보다는 안정성에 우선을 두는 보수적인 경영방식을 보여 주고 있다. 셋째, 여성기업인의 경영성과를 분석해 볼 때, 여성기업에 대한 창업지원에 그칠 것이 아니라 경영기술의 향상과 성장을 위한 적절한 창업 후 경영지원정책을 마련할 필요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 네째, 자본조달 및 경영활동에 있어서 애로사항은 담보부족이 가장 높았으며 여성이라는 이유로 신용도가 낮게 평가 된다는 견해도 나타나고 있다. 다섯째, 여성기업은 여성으로서 사회적 편견이 존재하는 것으로 나타나 여성기업인이 처해있는 어려운의 근저가 사회적 관념과 관행에 깊게 얽혀있다고 판단되었다. 마지막으로 여성기업인의 교육경험은 매우 낮게 나타났고 이것은 여성기업 경영활동에 대한 지원정책 홍보가 제대로 이루어지지 못했거나 정책 수혜대상의 폭이 매우 좁기 때문인 것으로도 생각해 볼 수 있기 때문에 이에 대한 대책의 마련이 요구되는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the current technology trends, small and medium entrepreneurs revealed as resource of job creation and innovation in developed countries, especially women made a remarkable development. Women entrepreneurship might devote not only to the position improvement of women themselves, but to job creation, technology innovation and new resource for change in business culture.
Therefore, this study is intended to investigate general characteristics and those of business start-up, management, obstacles in management activities and recognition on government incentive policy of women business owners in Daegu and Gyeongbuk province. Firstly, the survey showed that women business activities are motivated by more voluntary factors than succession. However, in spite of these active motives, it showed they started business with no professional advices but those from relatives or friends. Secondly, in spite of high capital ratio, near 50% of entrepreneurs revealed 0-5% of return on equity and even 40% showed conversion of business type. Finally, 40% were asked to secure deposit by their husband from financial organizations and regarding a question about difficulties for women to operate business, they highly responded social prejudice and men-oriented hospitality culture. Consequently, to decrease failures in women business start-up and promote to secure stable business growth, women themselves are required to recognize these problems and government authorities are to support business start for women entrepreneurs and steadily give suitable assistance for growth such as management training.
