The purpose of this study is to understand the development of a western sports culture, in three dimension, considering not only the social background of British sport and its spreading process that have been based on the development of human body in the modern age as a current of social history regarding the british sports culture through the national ideology and the British socio-cultural current but the roles of British as a suzerain nation and the background that had more formerly advanced than anything on the British sport being owned all over the world.The modern British sport had been organized as the result of British native outlooks of life that is characterized as a sport naturally formed and existed.The terms of Sport and Sportsmanship were originated from England. Moreover, the special talents by Englishmen who had accomplished the modern sport organized from a various kinds of events in the world through a definite regulation and spirits are the very parts to understand a british Sport.As in a British sport, they thought much of the attitude of sport, etiquette, fair play, etc as like a sport technique as well as a sportsmanship considered a gentlemanship in relation to a sports spirit. The general concepts like imperial royalty, muscular Christianity, gentlemanship as an educational ideology intended to an unified character fostering through a various kind of games participated can`t be completely separated, however, they had been considered an essential ideology in order to foster leaders with patriot in that British was faced in the age to expand and maintain an empire. Hereupon, the characteristic of sport, a fight and victory, could have nationality strong and patient, consequently, Britain became a dominant position according to the principal of the survival of the fittest and the British sport was getting world-wide well known.
