This paper describes a real power flow estimation which is to be applied to lower level voltage subtransmission network.
This algorithm is able to consideration the transmission losses and it can use a power flow of a transmission line which is devided into two component; lossless power flow through the line and transmission loss of line. The transmission loss is expressed in the form of two bus power injection assigned to both terminating sides of the line. Also, the calculation of the transmission line loss is based upon detailed equation that the voltage and reactive power flow measurement are required for this calculation.
In order to the demand on computer memory and computing time, the optimal ordering was determined and sparse matrix programming technique employed.
This paper is shown that the estimating accuracy, computing time and computer memory are sufficient to a practical network operation.
