In this paper, for isolated bidirectional dualbridge series resonant DC-DC converters (DBSRCs), the conditions for wide-range zero-voltage switching (ZVS) under the control of phase shift modulation (PSM) and variable frequency modulation (VFM) are analyzed. For the purpose of accuracy, this strategy is based on time-domain analysis instead of fundamental harmonic approximation (FHA), and in dead-band, the changes of inductor current is also be considered. Meanwhile, for variable load at different voltage gain, an improved control strategy is given to fulfill the requirements of ZVS. Verification of the analysis and equation through experiments are provided in the last.
