고령자의 디지털기기 이용 효능감과 디지털정보 역량의 관계에서 사회적 자본의 조절효과 = The Mediating Effect of Social Capital in the Relationship between the Elderly's Efficacy in Using Digital Devices and Digital Information Capabilities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구는 고령자의 디지털기기 이용 효능감이 디지털정보 역량에 미치는 영향을 파악하고, 이 영향에 대한 사회적 자본의 조절효과를 실증적으로 분석하기 위한 것이다.
방법 이를 위해 한국지능정보사회진흥원이 조사한 ‘2022 디지털정보격차 실태조사’의 2차 자료를 활용하여 만 55세 이상 고령자 총 2,300명의 자료를 활용하였다. 분석은 IBM SPSS 26.0 통계 프로그램을 이용하여 다음과 같이 진행하였다. 첫째, 설문응답자의 분포를 알아보기 위해 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, 왜도, 첨도 등의 기술통계 분석을 사용하였다. 둘째, 주요변수의 상관관계를 확인하기 위해 Pearson의 적률상관계수를 분석하였다. 셋째, 조절효과를 분석하기 위하여 중다회귀분석을 실시하였다.
결과 분석을 통해 도출한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 고령자의 디지털기기 이용 효능감이 디지털정보 역량에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회적 자본은 디지털정보 역량에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 파악되었다. 셋째, 고령자의 사회적 자본은 디지털기기 이용 효능감과 디지털정보 역량의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다.
결론 본 연구에서는 고령자의 디지털기기 이용 효능감이 디지털정보 역량에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 자본이 조절 및 완충 역할을 한다는 것을 확인하였다. 이러한 연구의 연구결과를 기반으로 디지털기기 이용 효능감과 디지털정보 역량을 조절하는 사회적 자본에 대한 관심과 이를 강화하기 위한 방안에 대해 논의하였다.

Objectives The purpose of this study is to understand the effect of the elderly's efficacy in using digital devices on digital information capabilities and to empirically analyze the moderating effect of social capital on this effect.
Methods To this end, the second data of the 2022 Digital Information Gap Survey surveyed by the Korea Intelligence Information Society Agency were used, and the data of a total of 2,300 elderly people aged 55 or older were used. The analysis was conducted as follows using the IBM SPSS 26.0 statistical program. First, descriptive statistical analysis such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis was used to find out the distribution of survey respondents. Second, Pearson's moment correlation coefficient was analyzed to confirm the correlation between major variables. Third, multiple regression analysis was performed to analyze the moderating effect.
Results The results derived through the analysis are as follows. First, it was found that the elderly's efficacy in using digital devices had a positive effect on digital information capabilities. Second, it was found that social capital had a positive effect on digital information capabilities. Third, it was found that the social capital of the elderly controls the relationship between the efficacy of using digital devices and digital information capabilities.
Conclusions In this study, it was confirmed that social capital plays a control and buffer role in the effect of the elderly's efficacy in using digital devices on digital information capabilities. Based on the research results of this study, interest in social capital that controls the efficacy of using digital devices and digital information capabilities, and measures to strengthen them were discussed.
