The lexis of the New Testament in the Brest Bible (1563) as compared to selected subsequent Renaissance translations of the Bible into Polish. The possible filiational relation with respect to lexis = 폴란드 르네상스 시대에 편찬된 일부 성서 번역본과의 비교를 통해 살펴본 브레스트 성서(Brest Bible) 신약본의 어휘. 어휘론적인 측면의 계통적 연관성에 대한 고찰.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문의 목적은 신약성서의 일부 후기 번역본과 <브레스트 성서(Brest Bible)>(1563)에서 특징적으로 발견되는 어휘들을 중점적으로 분석하여, 이 성서들 사이에 나타나는 계통학적이고, 어휘론적인 관계의 정도를 분석하기 위해 집필되었다. 이러한 목적을 위해 르네상스 시대에 등장한 세 개의 신약성서 번역본을 분석 텍스트로 선정하였다: 이 가운데 두 개의 텍스트 - <그단스크 신약 (Gdansk New Testament)>(1606)과 <그단스크 성서의 (Gdansk Bible) 신약본>(1632)은 개신교의 전통에 따라 번역되어졌는데, <브레스트 성서>와 교리적인 측면(성서가 유일한 믿음의 원천이라는 Sola Scriptura 원칙)에서, 그리고 철학적인 측면(Textus Receptus)라 불리는 그리스어 원전으로부터의 신약번역)에서 연관성을 보이고 있다. 세 번째 분석 텍스트로는 트리엔트 공회의 추천을 받아 탄생된 라틴어 볼가타(Vulgate)를 원전으로 삼아 야쿱부옉(Jakub Wujek)이 번역하고, 예수회의 검열위원회가 주석을 달아 1599년에 출판된 <성서>의 신약을 선정하였다.
구체적인 분석 작업은 <브레스트 성서>에 나타나는 명사, 동사, 형용사, 부사들이 나머지 세 개의 번역본에서는 어떤 대응어로 사용되어지고 있는지 살펴보는 과정을 통해 진행되었다. 또한 <브레트스 성서>에서 사용되어진 이러한 어휘소들(명사, 동사, 형용사, 부사들)이 후기 르네상스에 등장한 신약 번역본들에서 사용되어진 표현들과 어휘론적으로 어떤 연관성을 맺고 있는지 집중적으로 분석해보았다.
이러한 관점에서 살펴볼 때 <브레스트 성서>와 가장 밀접한 관련을 보여주는 텍스트는 <그단스크 신약>(1606)이었다. 반면에 <그단스크 성서의 신약본>(1632)은 야쿱 부옉이 번역한 <성서>와 좀 더 많은 연관성을 나타내고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this analysis is to establish the degree of the potential filiational lexical relation between selected biblical translations and the Brest Bible New Testament (1563) with regard to the lexis which is characteristic of them. Three Renaissance translations of the New Testament have been analysed in this regard; of these, two - the Gdańsk New Testament (1606) and the New Testament of the Gdańsk Bible (1632) - are in the Protestant tradition of translation, and are related to the Brest Bible both doctrinally (the Sola Scriptura principle) and philologically (translations from the Greek original of the New Testament, based on the so-called Textus Receptus). The third text analysed here is the New Testament of the Bible in Jakub Wujek’s translation as revised by a Jesuit censorship commission (the 1599 edition), based, in compliance with the recommendation of the Trent Council, on the Latin Vulgate. Here, this text is used as tertium comparationis.
The analysis is a quantitative-distributional juxtaposition of autosemantic lexemes (nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs) contained in the lexicon of the Brest Bible against the lexicons of the other analysed translations. The analysis concerns only those lexemes common to these translations which occur in parallel biblical locations of these translations.
The quantitative-distributional analysis has revealed those autosemantic lexemes in the New Testament of the Brest Bible which should be considered when researching lexical affinity in the three later Renaissance translations of the Bible.
