정약용(丁若鏞)과 주진(朱震)의 『주역(周易)』해석 방법론 비교 = Jeong Yak-yong and Zhu Zhen on their respective interpretations of the Zhouyi

국문 초록 (Abstract)

필자는 서론에서 정약용이 지은 「정헌묘지명(貞軒墓誌銘)」의 내용을 인용하면서 다산과 정헌의 역학에 관한 문답에 등장하는 중국역학사의 주요 저작 네 가지, 즉 래의선의 『역주』, 오징의 『역찬언』, 주진의 『한상역』, 이정조의 『집해』을 언급했다. 이 중에서 래의선의 『역주』, 오징의 『역찬언』, 이정조의 『집해』는 다산의 역학 저작인 『역학서언』의 각각 「래씨역주박(來氏易註駁)」, 「오초려찬언론(吳草廬纂言論)」, 「이정조집해론(李鼎祚集解論)」에서 다산의 평가를 살펴볼 수 있다고 했지만 주진의 『한상역』에 대해서는 따로 논평이 없다고 지적한 바 있다. 이를 통해 다산의 역학에 미친 이 네 저작 중 『한상역』이 다른 세 저작에 비해 상대적으로 그 영향이 작을 것으로 판단했다. 이는 형식적인 측면에서 부인할 수 없는 사실이지만, 내용적인 측면에서 볼 때 주진의 『한상역』이 다산 역학에 미친 영향이 위의 세 저작에 비해 결코 작다고 할 수 없다. 본론에서 살펴보았지만 『주역』해석 방법론에 있어서 주진과 정약용은 놀라울 정도로 일치된 견해를 보이고 있다. 즉 정약용은 그의 역학의 총결이라 할 수 있는 「사전소인(四箋小引)」에서 ‘추이(推移)’, ‘호체(互體)’, ‘효변(爻變)’ 이 세 가지 방법을 『주역』해석의 핵심적인 방법으로 제시하고 있고, 주진은 그의 역학을 총결한 「주역집전서(周易集傳序)」에서 ‘동효(動爻), 괘변(卦變), 호체(互體)’를 『주역』해석의 핵심적인 방법으로 제시하고 있다. 따라서 본 논의를 통해 우리는 주진의 역학이 시대와 지역을 초월하여 정약용의 역학으로 연결되고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. 물론 본론에서도 살펴보았듯이 각론에 있어서 정약용의 역학과 주진의 역학이 서로 다른 점이 노정되고 있지만, 이는 서로의 영향 관계를 논하는 데에 핵심적인 요소는 아니라고 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In the introduction, I cited Jeong Yak-yong's "Jeong Heon Epitaph(貞軒墓誌銘)" referring to four major works of Chinese Yi-ology that appear in the dialogue about Yi-ology of Dasan and Zheng Heon. The four books are Lai Zhide’s Yijing Jizhu(易經集注), Wu Cheng’s Yizuanyan(易纂言), Zhu Zhen’s Hanshang Yizhuan(漢上易傳), Li Dingzuo’s Zhouyi Jijie(周易集解). Among them, Lai Zhide’s Yijing Jizhu(易經集注), Wu Cheng’s Yizuanyan (易纂言), and Li Dingzuo’s Zhouyi Jijie(周易集解) were reviewed in Jeong Yak-yong’s Yixue Xuyan. But There was no work on Zhu Zhen’s Hanshang Yizhuan(漢上易傳). In this way, it was concluded that Hanshang Yizhuan(漢上易傳) of these four works on Dasan's Yi-ology was relatively less influential than the other three works. This is a fact that can not be denied in terms of formality, but from the aspect of the contents, the influence of Zhu Zhen’s Hanshang Yizhuan(漢上易傳) to the Dasan's Yi-ology is not small compared with the three works above.
As we have seen in the body, Jeong Yak-yong and Zhu Zhen share a surprisingly consistent view in interpretations of the Zhouyi. In other words, Jeong Yak-yong presents “Tuiyi(推移)”, “Huti(互體)”, “Yaobian(爻變)” as the key methods of his Yi-ology in the SiJian Xiaoyin(四箋小引), and Zhu Zhen also presents “Dongyao(動爻)”, “Guabian(卦變)”, “Huti(互體)” as the key methods of analyzing the Zhouyi in his Zhouyi Jizhuan Xu(周易集傳序). Therefore, through this discussion, we can see that the Yi-ology of Zhu Zhen are passed on to the Yi-ology of Jeong Yak-yong beyond the ages and regions. Although Jeong's Yi-ology and Zhu’s Yi-ology are different in the details, as we have seen in the body, this is unlikely to have much effect on discussing the relationship of influence between them.
