The key technology which can enlarge the energy efficiency in green cars such as HEV, FCEV and pure EV is the regenerative braking. Electronic brake systems which can be easily controlled with the regenerative brake system have been developed along with the advance of the electronic control technology. The safety and reliability of the electronic braking system is very important because the braking system is concerned with the safety of vehicle directly and the functional safety of the electronic braking system is becoming the important issue due to the ISO 26262. But the evaluation and verification test procedure is not sufficient yet regarding to the electronic brake system. The brake safety and reliability evaluation test procedure with an electronic brake system was proposed in this study.
