장애인의 봉사활동이 자기효능감에 미치는 영향

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 장애인의 자원봉사활동과 자기효능감의 관계를 파악하기 위하여 수행하였으며, 장애인의 여가선용과 장애인의 삶의 질을 향상시키기 위한 방안모색을 위한 기초자료를 제공하는데 목적을 두었다.
연구대상자는 전국대회에 참여하여 활동하는 장애인탁구선수 남·여 200명을 선정하여 설문지를 배부하고 그 중 181부를 회수 하였고 응답이 불성실한 1부는 제외하여 총 180부를 분석에 활용하였다. 조사도구로 자기효능감 측정은 쉬러(Sherer, 1982)의 일반적 자기효능감 및 사회적 자기효능감과 리크먼(Ryckman, 1982)의 신체적 자기효능감을 박경민(1994)이 통합하여 사용한 척도를 활용하였다. 일반적 자기효능감에 대한 문항 11문항, 사회적 자기효능감에 대한 문항 6문항, 신체적 자기효능감에 대한 9문항으로 총 26문항으로 구성하였으나 신뢰도를 확보하기 위해 일반효능감에서 3문항, 사회효능감에서 1문항, 신체효능감에서 2문항을 삭제하고 20문항으로 사용하였다. 일반적 특성은 12문항을 사용하였고, 자원봉사활동 특성은 22문항으로 구성하였다. 분석은 통계처리 프로그램 SPSS 12.0을 사용하였으며, 분석기법은 독립표본 T-검증과 일원변량분석(One-way ANOVA)을 사용하였고, 각각의 독립변인들이 종속변인에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 알아보기 위하여 다중회귀분석(multiple regression analysis)을 사용하였다. 장애인의 일반적 특성에 따른 자기효능감의 차이는 종교, 학력, 가족의 구성유형, 가족의 동거 유형, 건강상태, 경제력에서 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 나타났고, 자원봉사 특성에 따른 자기효능감의 차이는 자원봉사활동을 하게 된 계기와 자원봉사 활동 횟수, 자원봉사 평균시간, 자원봉사 활동 분야, 자원봉사 교육 유무, 자원봉사 교육 횟수, 자원봉사활동을 만족하게 되는 이유, 다른 자원봉사자들과의 시간외 교류에서 유의한 차이가 나타났다. 장애인의 일반적 특성에서는 가족의 동거유형과 건강상태, 경제력이 자기효능감에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났고, 자원봉사특성에서는 자원봉사활동분야와 자원봉사 교육의 유무가 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 장애인이 자원봉사활동을 함으로써 사회공익에 기여하고 자원봉사를 할 때 기관 및 사회단체에서 고려해야할 기초적인 연구 자료를 제공하는데 의미를 두었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to explain the relationship between the volunteering activities and self-efficiency. There was the impact of the volunteering activities on the disabled in necessity and significance. For this reason, it seems considerable to examine the relationship according to the subordinate factors between the self-efficiency of the disabled and the volunteering activity as a social activity which was regarded in the search for alternative description to increase the quality in the life of the disabled.
The subjects of the study were the table tennis players who were registered as a disabled and who were active in the national table tennis games and, who also are working as volunteers. The questionnaires were distributed to 200 disabled table tennis players and 181 were withdrawn. One questionnaire was excepted because it was unreliable.
In the research method, the dependant variable was the self-efficiency, and the independent variables were the general characteristics and the characteristics of volunteering activity. This study used the scale of self-efficiency which Park Kyung-Min(1994) integrated the general and social self-efficiency of Sherer(1982) and physical self-efficiency of Ryckman(1982)
Originally there were 26 question items, made of 11 for general self-efficiency, 6 for social self-efficiency and 9 for physical self-efficiency. However, this study removed 3 question items from general self-efficiency, 1 question item from social self-efficiency, and 2 from physical self-efficiency to secure the reliability. In this study, 20 question items are used. And there are 12 question item for general characteristic and 22 question item for the characteristic of volunteering activity.
In the analysis method, SPSS 12 program was used to carry out independent samples t-test and one-way ANOVA. In addition, Multiple Regression Analysis was used to examine the affects of each independent variable.
The following summarized the study results presented in this paper.
First, self-efficiency for the general characteristic of the disabled were different in statistic according to religion, scholastic ability, type of family structure, family living pattern, state of one's health and economic capabilities. Second, for self-efficiency on the characteristics of volunteering activity are different, there is a meaningful difference in accordance with the motive, frequency, time, field of volunteering activity and frequency of volunteer education, reasons of satisfaction in volunteering activity and personal friendship with other volunteers. Third, the result show that in the general characteristics of the disabled, self-efficiency was affected by family living pattern, state of one's health and economic capabilities and the characteristics of volunteering activity, self-efficiency is affected by the field of volunteering activity and in the relation to volunteer education.
This study is purposed to show that the volunteering activity of the disabled is helpful to the public good and to provide the basic data to the administrative organ or social organizations when they employ the disabled.
