GIS와 최적화 방법을 이용한 인터넷 시설물의 다중포괄 최적입지

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 몇 년 동안,미국의 초고속 인터넷(브로드밴드)에 대한 수요가 폭발적으로 증가했지만, 여전히 인터넷 서비스에 대한 접근성은 지역적으로 불균등하게 나타나고 있다. 가장 주된 이유는 현재의 정보통신 인프라 시설물이 공간상에 불균등하게 분포하고 있기 때문이다.이 논문에서는 모든 수요에 대한 다중포괄 제약조건을 만족시키면서,두 가지 목적함수를 최적화시키는 인터넷 시설물의 입지 모델에 대해서 살펴보고 있다.첫 번째 목적함수는 새로운 시설물을 입지로 인한 비용을 최소화하는 것이고,두 번째 목적함수는 입지하는 새로운 시설물들 사이의 잠재적 연결성을 최대화시키는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 이중목적함수의 최적화 문제를 가중치 방법을 사용하여 하나의 목적함수 형태로 변환 후,선형정수계획법을 이용하여 해결하였다.분석의 결과로는 다양한 가중치에 따른 비열등해(noninferior solutions)를 도출할 수 있었다.

For the past few years, the need for high speed Internet (broadband) has increased in theUnited States. However, there is still spatial disparity in accessing broadband infrastructure between rural and urbanareas. This is largely because current telecommunication infrastructure is unequally distributed in space. This paper addresses a broadband facility location model with a multiple covering constraint to improve broadband access, especially focusing on two bjectives: minimize total cost of new facility establishment and maximize total potential connectivity between new facilities.A bi-objective model can be solved as single objective integer linear programming using a weighting method. As a result of an empirical example, several noninferior solutions are found in terms of various weight schemes.
