순조 재위기(1800~1834) 하회<SUP>河回</SUP> 풍산류씨<SUP>豊山柳氏</SUP>의 현실 대응과 관계망의 변화 = Study on Hahwe Pungsan Ryu clan(河回 豊山柳氏)’s Response to Reality during Sunjo’s Reign(1800~1834) and Network Change

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 글은 두 가지의 문제제기에서 비롯되었다. 첫째, 인간은 사회적 관계망 속에 존재하는데 관계망 속에 놓인 개인 혹은 집단의 모습은 어떠한가. 둘째, 19세기 안동 사족사회가 병호시비 속에서 갈등 분열되었지만 그것이 19세기 전체를 관통하는가라는 물음이다. 순조 재위기 하회 풍산류씨의 사례를 통해 그 해답을 찾고자 했다. 풍산류씨는 조선후기 안동사족사회를 대표하는 성씨 가운데 하나이고, 퇴계학파 내에서 서애계를 주도했으며, 19세기 전반기의 모습을 생생하게 보여주는 『하와일록河窩日錄』·『간역시일기刊役時日記』등의 자료가 있기 때문이다.
여기서 세 가지의 결론을 도출했다. 첫째, 순조는 즉위 이후 정조의 정치적 자산을 청산하는 과정에서 영남과 정치적 제휴 관계를 맺었던 채제공이 영남 지역에 남겼던 유산도 함께 청산하였다. 이러한 정치적 변화 속에서 안동 사족사회의 변방에 있던 몇몇 성씨와 서족庶族은 노론老論으로 자정하는 가운데 향촌에서의 위상을 확보하려고 했다. 이것은 풍산류씨의 정치적 관계망의 약화로 이어졌지만, 풍산류씨는 여기에 매우 소극적으로 대응했다. 학봉계와는 일상을 공유했다. 둘째, 노론정권의 남인에 대한 포화가 어느 정도 진정국면에 접어들면서 풍산류씨를 중심으로 한 서애계는 『번암집樊巖集』간행을 주도하면서 중앙세력과의 연계를 지속할 수 있는 명분을 획득했지만, 학술활동을 통한 역량강화를 모색하던 학봉계와의 갈등도 확인했다. 셋째, 19세기 풍산류씨는 혼인을 통해 학봉계와의 갈등 · 분열을 일정 정도 완화하면서도 宗孫의 혼인은 서애계로 집중하였다. 중층적인 혼인 관계망은 풍산류씨 종손의 생존전략이었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research is based on presentation of two problems. First, human exists in the social network, however what is an individual or a group in the network like. Second, Andong family society of the 19th century conflicted and disparted in Byungho dispute, however there was a question whether that transpierced the whole 19th century. This research intended to search the answer through the case of Hahwe Pungsan Ryu family during Sunjo reign. Since Pungsan Ryu family was one of the family names that represented late Joseon Andong family society, which lead Seo-ae affiliation within Toegye school, also, there are materials such as 『Hawa-ilrok(河窩日錄)』·『Ganyeoksi-ilgi(刊役時 日記)』 that vividly show the appearance of early 19th century.
Here, this research derived three conclusions. First, the asset of Chaejegong, who had political partnership with Yeongnam in the process of settling Jeongjo"s political asset as soon as Sunjo ascended to the throne, which had been left in Yeongnam region, was also settled. While a few family names and Seojok (庶族), which had been in the border area of Andong family society, in such political change, tried to secure a status in the country while self-purifying with Noron(老論). This continued to weakened political network of Pungsan Ryu clan, however Pungsan Ryu clan reacted to this very passively. Nevertheless, they shared daily life with Hakbong society. Second, as the fire of Noron power on Namin calmed down to some degree, Seo-ae society based on Pungsan Ryu clan acquired a justification to continue connection with the central power while leading publication of 『Beonamjib (樊巖集)』, however a conflict with Hakbong society was also determined, with which enhancement of competence was searched through academic activity. Third, Pungsan Ryu clan of the 19th century adhered to Seo-ae family in respect of marriage of the eldest grandson of the head family(宗孫), while relieving conflict division with Hakbong society to a certain degree through marriage. Intermediate marriage network was the survival strategy of Pungsan Ryu clan.
