실향민의 고향의식 = Displaced People’s Consciousness of Hometown: based on the works of Poet Wu Suk-ja

국문 초록 (Abstract)

〈실향민의 고향의식〉은 북한 개성을 고향으로 두고 있는 우숙자시인의 작품을 중심으로 고향과 이산가족에 대한 그리움과 통일에 대한 염원 및 의지의 시조를 살펴본 논문이다. 우숙자 시인만큼 실향의 아픔과 분단에의 고통과 통일에의 열망을 줄기차게 쓴 시인도 드물다.
분단의 문제는 이제 세계에서 유일하게 한반도만이 안고 있는 문제이며, 이러한 문제가 한 실향민의 시조 속에 어떻게 반영되고 있는지 살펴보는 것은 곧 우리민족이 안고 있는 문제를 조명해 보는 것이기도 하다.
통일 문제는 그 누구도 희망을 저버려서는 안 될 우리민족의 절대명제인 만큼 우리 모두가 통일을 모색해야 한다. 이러한 현실 앞에서 한 실향민의 시조를 통해, 반세기가 넘는 분단의 오랜 역사에서 실향민이 느껴야 하는 고향에 대한 그리움과 이산가족에 대한 아픔과 고통, 통일에의 간절한 염원을 살펴봄으로써 우리민족이 당면해 있는 문제를 인식하고 통일에의 의지를 키우는 데 이 논문의 의의가 있다.
그의 시조집을 통해 살펴본 고향의식 속에는 첫째는 실향에 대한 아픔과 그리움이며, 둘째는 이산가족에 대한 아픔과 그리움, 셋째는 통일에 대한 염원 및 의지이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to delve into displaced people's consciousness of hometown by examining the Sijo Wu Suk-ja who was born in Gaeseong, North Korea. Specifically, it's attempted to look into displaced people's longing for hometown, their desire for the unification of South and North Koreas and their will to that. Few poets had ever coherently sticked to the themes of the pain arising from losing one's hometown and the division of the nation and of yearning for national unification.
The division of the nation is a unique problem that only Korea is faced with in the world, and looking into how this issue is reflected in Sijo written by a displaced person is like shedding light on the problems with the nation.
The matter of national unification is one of the absolute, unavoidable tasks in which every Korean people should be involved, and all of us should think of how it could be attained. Under the circumstances, the effort by this study to examine Sijos written by a displaced person to find out displaced people's longing for their hometown during the long period of time more than half a century, their pain resulting from separating from their families, and their long-cherished desire for the unification of the nation would serve as a chance to wake up to what problems we are confronted with and to let us direct more energy into national unification.
When her nine collections of Sijo were investigated, it's found that her consciousness of hometown could be characterized by three things. The first is the pain about losing hometown and yearning for that, and another is the pain caused by dispersed families and longing for them, and the third is a desire for the unification of the nation and a will to that.
