      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

      A study is numerically carried out for the load capacity characteristics of the externally pressurized air-lubricated journal bearings with the supply holes of one row, two rows and three rows.
      A numerical analysis is made using the finite element method and the incremental method.
      The numerical analysis is performed for the pressure distributions and load capacities of the externally pressurized air-lubricated journal bearings according to the supply pressures, compressibility parameters and eccentricity ratios.
      The result of this study are summarized as follows
      1. The bearing with two rows of supply holes has the maximum load capacity.
      2. The bearing with one row of supply holes has the maximum increment of the load capacity according to the compressibility parameter.
      3. The results of load capacity are confirmed from the results of the pressre
      distributions of the bearings.
      4. The attitude angles are decreased under the low supply pressure, high
      compressibility parameter and high eccentricity ratio.
