정치를 새롭게 읽어내는 퀴어정동정치: 한국 퀴어퍼레이드를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 한국 퀴어퍼레이드에 관한 담론에서 퀴어퍼레이드의 가시성을 증대시키고 참여자의 안전을 보장하기 위해 시민권 담론을 적극적으로 수용해야 한다는 목소리가 힘을 얻고 있다. 시민권에 의존하는 정치는 정치적 실천의 토대를 시민권이라는 공적 권리로 제한하고 섹슈얼리티를 사적 문제로 간주하는 구도를 강화한다는 점에서 이성애규범성과 공모한다. 이 논문은 특히 정치 주체의 정동적 애착이 이러한 공모를 정당화하는 ‘현실주의’를 구성하는 문제를 식별, 비판하고 대안을 제안한다. 주체는 환상을 포기하지 않기 위해 현실을 편집증적으로 구성하고, 이러한 현실은 주체의 삶과 인식을 파편화한다. 이런 맥락에서 시민권 담론에 의존하는 정치가 현실적으로 가장 효과적인 전략이라는 인식은, 시민권 담론이 여전히 성소수자의 삶과 욕망과 같은 미시적 역동을 포착하기에 부족하다는 면에서 일종의 편집증적으로 구성된 현실에 해당한다. 역설적으로 이 파편화는 편집증의 바깥으로 배제된 잔여적 정동을 읽어내는 예민한 감각적 수용력을 촉진하고 주체가 편집증 바깥을 감지하도록 주체를 유도하기도 한다. 이 논문은 예민한 감각적 수용력을 통해 이성애규범적 편집증의 안팎을 유기적으로 연결하고 읽어내는 실천을 정동정치로 규정하고, 정동정치가 이성애규범성이 교란되는 순간을 감각적으로 포착하는 실천으로서 퀴어정치를 구현할 수 있다고 주장한다. 다시 말해, 퀴어퍼레이드 현장에서 잔여적 정동을 포섭하는 실천은 현실주의 담론, 그리고 그 토대인 이성애규범성을 교란하는 퀴어정치가 구현되는 순간을 읽어낼 수 있다. 이는 퀴어퍼레이드의 정치, 나아가 정치 자체가 근본적으로 모순에 의존한다는 사실을 드러낸다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, a voice increasingly pervades in Queer Parades which assumes that the discourse of citizenship is accommodated more easily than before for the cause of expansion of visibility and safety. The politics of citizenship colludes with heteronormativity to the extent that it fortifies the public/private division by sanctioning citizenship as the sole basis for public political struggle and confining sexuality within the parameter of the private. This paper aims to suggest an alternative by identifying, and criticizing that affective attachment of political subjects constitutes a so-called ‘realism,’ which justifies politics that relies on the discourse of citizenship. Although the politics of citizenship is a fantasy that colludes with heteronormativity, the subjects cannot be detached from the fantasy because they are attached to the paranoid reality. Affective attachments, in subordination to heteronormativity, generate fragmented perceptions of life. Paradoxically, there also remain residues that cannot conform to the paranoid reality, which encourages a sensitive affective receptivity, thereby inducing the subject to feel beyond the paranoid reality. Affective politics, a practice which connects in- and outside of heteronormative paranoia, could intersect with queer politics by sensing the moment of heteronormativity in trouble. In this sense, some moments in Queer Parades embody queer politics and trouble the fantasy of realism, and its ground, heteronormativity. That means the possibility of an alternative political theory where we can understand that politics itself, as well as politics of Queer Parades, is always already paradoxical.
