多文化センタ-での継承語及び文化活動実践報告 = 韓国における継承日本語教育の方向性を探って

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근에 한국에서는 국제결혼의 증가에 따라 다문화가정의 어린이들이 증가하고 있어, 그러한 아이들을 위한 교육의 필요성이 드러나게 되었다. 본고는, 한일 다문화가정의 어린이들을 대상으로 가정 외에서의 계승 일본어교육의 실천을 되돌아보고, 그 성과와 과제를 고찰하려고 한다. 이러한 연구를 통해 하나의 사례 연구로서 향후 계승 일본어교육의 방향성을 제시하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다.

실천의 장소로서의 민간기관인 하나다문화센터 “다린”에서는　계승어 및 문화활동 프로그램 즉,『어린이 다문화강사양성 프로젝트』를 진행하고 있다. 필자들은 여기에서 2015년부터 2년동안, 4기에 걸쳐 한일 다문화가정 어린이들을 담당하고 그에 따른 활동을 하였다. 그 내용은 문화적인 주제를 많이 채용하여 체험을 중심으로 하되 그 중에서 일본어를 많이 접촉하도록 유도하여 일본어 실력의 향상을 목표로 하였다.

매 기간 활동 후에 설문조사를 하며, 제4기 활동 기간 동안에는 인터뷰를 병행하여 그것을 바탕으로 활동 내용과 일본어계승의 측면 및 의견을 정리하여 최종 도출된 세가지를 분석하고 고찰을 진행하였다. 그 결과, 성과로서는 체험적인 활동의 유효성, 내용중시로 의한 계승 일본어교육의 효과, 아이들의 정체성 형성기여라는 세가지 점을 들 수 있다. 그렇지만, 앞으로는 어린이의 다양성에 따른 대응방법, 읽고 쓰기가 가능한 이중언어 육성방법 개발과 더불어 전인적인 성격을 가지는 계승어 교육의 기회가 아이들에게 더욱 많이 주어져야 하는 것이 그 과제라고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently in Korea, international marriage has increased and children from multinational families have increased. Therefore, there is a need for education for these children. This paper examines Korean-Japanese multinational children, how heritage Japanese education is carried out outside of their family and its outcomes and problems. The ultimate purpose of this paper is to offer itself as a case study for a direction of the Japanese heritage education in future.
The private sector Hana Multicultural Center, "Darin", runs a heritage and cultural activity program, which is called "Project on Training Multicultural Instructors for Children". We considered this center to be a practice place for our study. Starting from 2015, we cared for Korean-Japanese multicultural children, and participated in activities in the Center for four terms, which was two years. For the content of its activities, we adopted many cultural topics and focused on experiences, but most of all, encouraged the children to have contact with Japanese as much as possible in order to improve their Japanese language skills.
Based on interviews conducted during the four terms and a survey following the activities, the content of the activities and aspects and opinions of heritage Japanese were summarized. Three main outcomes that were produced from these summaries were then analyzed. As a result, three points, that is, the effectiveness of experiential activity, and the effectiveness of heritage Japanese education emphasizing content and contribution to the children’s identity formation, were observed. However, there is still a need for more study with respect to how to respond to children’s diversity, development of bilingual methods of reading and writing, and providing greater opportunities for holistic heritage language education for children.
