This paper discusses the relationship between functional projections in Korean, with a particular focus on how the features of negation interact with PolP or CP (IntP) to impact the syntax and semantics of a sentence. This study argues that negation plays a role in specifying the polarity and clause type, and examines the consequences this has for negative-marked polarity questions in Korean. Utilizing the feature-sharing mechanism proposed by Pesetsky and Torrego (2007), this paper proposes a new insight into the interaction between NegP, PolP, and CP (IntP) in interrogative constructions in Korean. The analysis explains the idiosyncrasies of Korean negation under the general feature-sharing version of Agee analysis and contributes to a deeper understanding of the structure of functional projections in Korean.
