The significance of education in Christian universities in the modern Korean education system cannot be overemphasized. This is because Christian education in Korea in modern times has created new values and cultures, nurtured talents, and produced outstanding leaders to contribute to the development and growth of our society. As a result, Christianity has not only left an important impact on society, but also played a crucial role in the growth and revival of Christianity in Korea.
Over the years, however, the universities that were established based on the spirit of Christianity have lost their founding ideology and spirit and have become secularized, thus being unable to exert influence on the region and society, which has even led to creating opposing forces with antipathy towards Christianity.
Nevertheless, the excellence and influence of the Koreas first modern Christian universities are undeniable, and regaining these qualities is a challenge that is once again urgently needed by Christian universities today who have lost sight of their goals.

In chapter 4, it will examine the application of Christian liberal education for the restoration of Gods image, and finally, in chapter 5, it will set forth the author’s view on a proposal of Christian liberal education for the restoration of Gods image.
