From the beginning, human beings has had ample and complete set of body language and facial expressions. Later, language and linguistic culture developed and the people of these days acheived the face to face communications.
After the development of the primitive press byJ. Gutenberg(1398-1468), human beings "became familiar with books and entered the period of characters and languages. As a consequence,we abandoned the need to communicate face to face and the body language and facial expressions degenerated.
Ho wever, the introduction of silent movies brought about a big turning point to our culture; that of the return to "seeing culture" from "reading culture". People on the screen communicated everything through body language and facial expressions and the spectators all over the world came to understand the message. Especially, facial expressions simplicated complicated language culture and succeded in achieving the global understanding.
Talkie movies had language but it was more difficult for people using different languages to understand them.
If we revive the experiences of silent movies and, through the research in body and facial expressions, formlize them,we can be sure of returning to "seeing culture" from "reading culture". Then, we can show the "apparent being" to the world through the movies and the physical differences between the various groups of the people will not permit the indifference between them. That will be the way for the movies to be the most influential pioneer in international humanism.
