우리나라 농산물 무역의 특징과 시장개방에 대비한 정책 대응방안 : 중국의 WTO 가입 영향을 중심으로 Centered on the Impacts of China's Accession into WTO = Characteristices of the Korean Agricultural Trade and Policy Implications of Market Opening

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라 농산물 교역의 특징은 우선 수출은 뚜렷이 내세울 품목이 없는 소량 다품종 형태로 금액측면에서 미미할 뿐만 아니라 수출의 일관성도 매우 낮다는 것이다. 이에 반해 농산물의 수입은 곡물류, 축산물과 그 가공품, 견과류 등 대량구매 내지 고부가가치 농산물을 중심으로 다양하게 매년 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 또한 우리나라 농산물 수출은 주로 일본과 미국에 집중되어 있는 반면에 수입은 미국, 중국, 호주, 캐나다, 칠레 등 다양한 국가로부터 수입이 이루어지고 있는 실정이다. 한편 WTO를 중심으로 추진되는 농산물 무역자유화 움직임과 특히 지리적으로 인접하고 유사한 식관습 패턴을 가지고 있는 중국의 WTO 가입은 우리 농업에 부정적 영향을 미칠 것으로 예상됨에 따라 이에 대비한 정책적 대응방안 마련이 요구되는 실정이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Characteristics of the Korean agricultural trade are as follows: there is no remarkable products in terms of agricultural export, and time consistency of agricultural export is very low. Whereas agricultural import tends to increase annually and importing items are various such as feed grains, livestock products, fruits, nuts and high value-added processed goods etc. The Korean agricultural export is concentrated on Japan and U.S, while agricultural import are coming from diverse countries such as U.S, China, Australia, Canada, Chile etc. Also, acceleration of agricultural trade liberalization in WTO system, particularly the China's accession to WTO is expected to create negative impacts on the Korean agricultural sector. Thus it's time for us to prepare the policy measures coping with the change in situation in order to minimize the negative impacts on agricultural sector.
