통합디자인전략에 의한 가로시설물디자인 연구 = A Study on the Design of Street Furniture by Integrated Design Strategy

Urban development demand transformation of cognition together with quality variation about material-wise compositional elements that constitute the city. Urban space based on the principle of development and technology should flank upon raising the qualities of the citizen' lives.
The street space is very closely related to the everyday lives of the citizens and intermediates individual urban constructions as a group of buildings. It is also a basic space where municipal living environment and behavior are prescribed. Especially as demands about environment-friendly characteristic and amenity have increased, how human's sensibility, consciousness and behavior operate rather than planning for physical facilities is regarded as important in designing street space. Detailed characteristic including texture, color and configuration should be prepared, and characteristic and theme of street space has beyond the standpoint of deciding configuration based on its capacity should also be presented. From this process and on, the municipal street where identity is insured would be tourist attractions: they would be urban basic facilities in activating local economy.
This study has designed to assist street furniture design and in making successful designs of street furniture that have a distinguishing quality and have analyzed the connection between the local culture and the person who installs the street furniture in the city.
