Korea's content industry has been thriving, despite the challenges posed by events such as the COVID-19 outbreak and the ongoing economic and technological leadership disputes between the U.S. and China, as well as the Russia-Ukraine war. This study aims to delve into the significance of copyright for content companies, as it plays a crucial role not only as a valuable asset but also as a driving force behind innovation. Through an examination of companies' perceptions of copyright, using product innovation and business process innovation as benchmarks, the study also looks at the expected demand for policy, and classifies it under innovation policy and economic growth policy. Additionally, the study takes into account various characteristics of the companies, such as their genre, size, copyright ownership, and experience in copyright disputes, in order to determine if there is a difference in expected demand based on innovation type and policy type in terms of accessing copyright by content companies. Ultimately, the goal of the study is to explore the significance of copyright for content companies in terms of innovation, and to understand how companies view and utilize copyright in their product and business process innovation, as well as the demand for policy in this area.
