『환단고기』 위서론 비판 : 「삼성기」 저자를 중심으로 = Criticism on a view that Hwandan Gogi is a pseudograph

국문 초록 (Abstract)

1911년 운초 계연수에 간행된 『환단고기』에 대해서는 이미 많은 논의가 축적되었다. 역사서로서 『환단고기』에 대한 논의도 다양하게 전개되었지만, 『환단고기』 자체에 대한 서지학적 측면의 논의도 진행되었다. 문제는 『환단고기』의 위서논쟁이다. 이 논쟁은 아직도 정리되지 않았다. 『삼성기』는 『환단고기』의 앞부분에 실려 있다. 이 책의 저자는 안함로, 원동중이다. 위서론자들은 『삼성기』도 위서라고 주장한다. 위서라고 주장하는 근거로 위서의 첫번째 조건인 ‘저자를 가짜로 만든 책’이라는 주장을 하고 있는 것이다. 즉『삼성기』는 ‘저자를 가짜로 만든 책’이란 혐의를 받고 있다. 있지도 않은 저자를 조작해서 지어내었다는 것이다. 『삼성기』 저자 조작설을 주장하는 근거로 제시되는 문헌사료는 『조선왕조실록』 세조 3년(1457) 5월 26일자 기사이다. 이 기사에는 “안함로·원동중 「삼성기」”라는 그의 이름과 저술명이 공개되어 있다. 그러나 『환단고기』 위서론자들은 안함로·원동중을 안함·노원·동중 3인이라고 주장한다. 『삼성기』 저자 조작설의 근거로 제시된 다른 문헌사료는 『신증동국여지승람』 해주목 고적조 ‘수양산성’조이다. 여기에 “세상에서 전하기를 ‘옛날에 안함·원로·동중 세 사람이 있어, 터를 보아 쌓았다.’ 한다.”는 문장이 있다. 여기에 등장하는 3인의 이름은 『세조실록』에 나오는 이름과 한자가 조금 다르고(안함), 글자도 다르다(노원). 그러나 위서론자들은 한글발음이 비슷하다는 이유로 3인이 동인인물라고 주장한다. 따라서 『신증동국여지승람』에서 ‘안함·원로·동중 세 사람’을 근거로 『삼성기』의 안함로·원동중은 처음부터 없었으며, 조작되었다고 주장한다. 그러나 『신증동국여지승람』에서 3인이 등장하는 기사는 역사적 사실과 무관한 내용이다. 『신증동국여지승람』에서는 단지 ‘세상에서 전하는 이야기’를 옮겨 적었다고 기록하였다. 이와 같은 떠도는 이야기가 안함로·원동중 조작의 근거가 될 수는 없다. 또한 같은 기사에는 “산성 안에 고죽군 옛터가 있다.”고 했다. 이 고죽군은 이 지역에 대한 별명으로 사용되었으나 그 배경에는 수양산, 백이·숙제, 고죽국과 관련이 있다. 고죽국은 지리적으로 중국 영평부에 위치하고 있었다. 따라서 고죽국이 이 지역에 있었다는 것은 『신증동국여지승람』 시대의 조선유학자들이 가지고 있는 사대주의적 의식과 관계된 것으로 허상에 다름 아니다. 『환단고기』 위서론자들은 『신증동국여지승람』의 ‘수양산성’ 기사에서 전체 내용을 무시하고 자기들에게 유리하다고 판단되는 안함·원로·동중 3인의 이름만을 갖고와서 『세조실록』의 관련기사를 뒷받침하는 근거로 제시하고, 나아가 『삼성기』 저자 조작설을 주장하였다. 한마디로 전혀 역사적, 지리적 사실이 아닌 기사 가운데 이름 몇 개만 갖고 와서 자기에게 유리한 주장의 근거로 제시하고 있는 것이다. 나아가 이들이 주장하는 『삼성기』 저자 조작설은 『환단고기』 위서론의 근거로 이용되고 있으므로 이를 논박치 않을 수 없다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There have been a number of discussions about Hwandan Gogi published by Gye Yeon-su in 1911. It was discussed by the history, and also it was continued to discuss Hwandan Gogi itself by the site of bibliography. The problem is the argument about a view about pseudograph of Hwandan Gogi. This argument is not ordered yet. Samseong Gi (“The Annals of the Three Sacred Dynasties”) is on the front part of Hwandan Gogi. The writers of this book are Anhamro and Won dong-jung. However, the people who believe that was pseudograph have said the reason of the false writing was ‘making fake writers’. Samseong Gi has been suspected of making fake writers. The first basis of fake writers is the article on May 26th in 1457(King Sejo 3year), The True Record of the Joseon Dynasty. In this article, Anhamro and Won dong-jung are appeared as authors. But the people who believe that a view of pseudograph said Anhamro and Won dong-jung was Anham, Rowon, and Dongjung. The another basis is the article, Suyangsanseong in Dondkug-Yeojiseungram. There is one sentence, ‘Once upon a time, Anham, Rowon, and Dongjung prepared the ground.’ But those are different from Chines characters(Anham) and letters(Rowon). However, for the only reason that those names are similar pronunciation, they have asserted that the three men were right. They asserted that Anhamro and Won Dong-jung was nothing from the beginning and made counterfeitly. The article that three men were appeared in Dondkug-Yeojiseungram is unrelated to history. In this book, there is a saying ‘it was copied and written about the stories circulating around the world. So, the stories circulating can’t become a basis of those insistence. And in the same article, it says ‘there was the old site of Gojukgun in Sanseong’. But it is not true. Because Gojukgun, Gojukguk, was Yeongpeongbu in China. The people who believe that is pseudograph ignored that whole article. And they just referred to only three men’s name, Anham, Wonro, and Dongjung, only for theirs advantages. It has to be rejected that special pleading not to consider historical, geographical facts. Furthermore, their opinion, making fake writers of Samseon Gi and a view about pseudograph of Hwandan Gogi has to be reconsidered.
