활성 모델에 의한 경계선 분할 및 모델 적합 = Boundary Segmentation and Model Fitting by Active Model

국문 초록 (Abstract)

분할 및 표현은 물체를 인식하고 추적하는 문제에서 매우 중요한 전처리 단계이다. 최근에 활성 모델은 변형가능한 물체의 경계를 분할, 추적 및 적합시키기 위한 효과적인 방법으로 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 활성 모델을 기반으로 물체의 경계를 분할하며, 활성 모델의 반복적인 에너지 최소화에 의해 일어나는 곡선의 변형을 주어진 모델로 제한시키는 affine 변환을 사용하여 모델로 적합시키는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 2차원 모델 곡선으로 타원과 3차 B-스플라인을 사용하여 인위적인 이진 영상과 MRI 영상에서 실험 결과를 보였다.

Both segmentation and representation are important low level processing steps in recognizing and tracking objects. Recently, active model, known as an energy minimizing curve has widely used as an efficient tool for segmenting, tracking and fitting of the boundary of deformable objects. In this paper, we propose an algorithm which segments the boundary of object based on active model (in this case, the initial curve need no longer to be closed and to be totally inside or outside to the solution to converge) and fits to a given model curve by using affine transformation which restricts a deformation of curves (occuring by iterative processing in active model) to the given model curve, Experimental results in synthetic binary images and MRI images are presented by using ellipse and cubic B-spline as 2-dimensional model curve.
