직업계고 화공교사의 임파워먼트에 대한 인식 및 개선방안 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 직업계고 화공교사의 임파워먼트에 대한 인식과 개선 요구에 대한 조사 및 분석을 통하여화공교육의 질을 제고하고 화공교육 활성화를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구 방법은 선행연구 고찰을 통해 설문지를 개발하고, 전국 직업계고 화공교사를 대상으로 임파워먼트 인식과 개선요구 방안을 조사하고 변인들과의 관계를 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 화공교사의 임파워먼트에 대한 인식은 하위요소인 자율성, 역량, 의사결정 참여 순으로 높았고, 전체 평균은 보통 수준이었다. 둘째, 화공교사의 임파워먼트는 학교설립 유형별, 교사 직위별, 담임여부별, 교직 경력별, 특성화 사업참여 유무별, 전공직무연수 경험 유무별로 유의미한 차이가 있었다. 셋째, 화공교사는 임파워먼트 개선방안으로 교권 신장을 위한 방안 마련, 보수와 복지 개선, 업무 지원을 가장 필요하다고 응답하였다. 반면, 가장 낮은 필요성을 보인 항목은 대외 교육활동 기회 확대, 교사 공동체의 활성화, 동료 교사의 협조였다. 연구 결과에 따른 연구결론은 다음과 같다. 교권보호를 통한 교육활동의 보장, 합리적인 보상과 업무지원, 전문성 향상의 기회 확대, 화공교육 공동체의 활성화는 교육활동을 위한 동기유발이 되어 교육효과 상승과 함께 화공교사의 임파워먼트를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to improve the quality of chemical engineering education and provide basic data for activating chemical engineering education by investigating and analyzing the perception and improvement needs of chemical engineering teachers in vocational high schools regarding their empowerment. The research method was to develop a questionnaire through reviewing previous studies, survey the perception of empowerment and improvement needs of chemical engineering teachers in vocational high schools nationwide, and analyze the relationship with variables. The results of the study are as follows: First, the average awareness of empowerment of chemical engineering teachers was average. Second, there were significant differences in the empowerment of chemical engineering teachers by school establishment type, teacher position, whether they were homeroom teachers, teaching career, participation in specialized projects, and experience in specialized job training. Third, chemical engineering teachers responded that the most necessary measures for improving empowerment were measures to expand teacher authority, improvement of compensation and welfare, and work support. On the other hand, the items with the lowest need were expansion of opportunities for external educational activities, activation of teacher communities, and cooperation with fellow teachers. The research conclusions based on the results of the study are as follows. It is expected that guaranteeing educational activities through protection of teaching rights, reasonable compensation and work support, expanding opportunities for professional improvement, and activating the chemical engineering education community will motivate educational activities, thereby increasing educational effectiveness and enhancing the empowerment of chemical engineering teachers.
