정간보를 활용한 국악 가창 지도 방법 연구 : 11학년을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

정간보는 시가와 음높이를 모두 표시할 수 있는 기보법이며, 우리의 문화유산이지만 오선보에 비해 그 가치와 중요성을 제대로 인정받지 못하고 있는 형편이다. 또한 현재 정간보와 관련된 연구도 가곡이나 기악곡을 위해 보조적으로 다루어지는 경우가 대부분이며, 심도 있는 음악 학습이 가능한 고학년을 대상으로 하는 국악 가창 지도에 대한 뚜렷한 연구가 없는 상황이므로, 본 연구는 정간보 자체에 초점을 맞춰 그 활용 가능성을 짚어보고, 이를 활용한 가창 지도 방법을 연구하였다. 본고는 먼저 11학년의 교과서를 분석하여 정간보가 실제 학생들의 관심에 비해 부족함을 확인하였다. 뿐만 아니라 교과서에 제시되고 있는 가악은 쉽지 않은 장르임에도 불구하고 기초과정 없이 제재곡만 제시되어 학습하기에 불충분하기 때문에 이를 위한 기초 학습 내용이 필요하다고 판단하여 지도 방안을 연구하였다. 지도안은 대표적인 음악교육학자인 고든의 학습이론과 통합적 음악학습이론을 배경으로 위계?패턴학습, 신체표현과 이해학습의 통합적 음악학습 및 모델링을 통한 모방학습을 주 내용으로 하며, 인지주의와 행동주의의 절충을 통해 이론적 이해와 학습의 효과를 가시적으로 확인할 수 있도록 하였다. 이를 위해 연구자가 직접 제작한 부교재를 활용하여 들은 음악을 선으로 나타내기, 소리내며 활동하기, 율명?구음?시김새 및 정간보 읽기 연습을 통해 평시조 ‘동창이’를 구음으로 연습한 후, 시김새를 넣어 가사로 가창하는 학습으로 구성하였다. 패턴연습으로 학습효과를 높이며, 정간보 읽는 훈련을 통해 혼자서도 노래할 수 있도록 하여 가악에 수월하게 접근하도록 하였으며 시김새를 듣고 모델링하는 과정을 통해 듣기 및 표현 능력도 기를 수 있다. 지도안을 수업에 적용해보고 설문 조사를 통해 평가한 결과 많은 학생들이 수업에 적극적으로 임하였으며, 대부분의 설문 결과도 긍정적이었다. 학생들이 장점으로 답한 내용에는 대중음악과 전통 선율이 어우러진 음악을 통한 접근으로 관심과 흥미를 이끌어낸 점 등을 꼽았으며, 학습 후 우리 것의 소중함을 알고 정간보를 사용하며 보전하기 위한 방안을 마련해야 한다는 의견을 제시하는 등의 관심을 나타냈다. 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 학생들에게 시간과 노력을 투자한 국악교육이 필요하며, 그것은 음악 교육자들의 몫이라는 결론을 얻었다. 국악 가창이라도 정간보를 활용하여 우리만의 스타일을 살려 노래할 수 있도록 정간보 활용 방안을 연구하여 수업에 적용하려는 열의를 통해 정간보와 국악은 발전해갈 수 있으며, 국악교육 또한 올바르게 이루어질 수 있다. 본 연구를 통해 정간보를 활용하는 능력을 키우고, 우리만의 음악적 색깔을 살려 가창하는데 도움이 되는 자료로 적극 활용되어 문화의 세기에 대비하는 토대가 되길 기대한다

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Jeongganbo is a musical notation which can indicate both poem songs and pitches. Although it is an important cultural heritage of Korea, its value and importance have not much been recognized so far, compared with Osunbo. In addition, most of the researches about Jeongganbo have examined it secondarily for songs or instrumental pieces, while few preceding studies have focused on the methods of teaching the traditional music singing for higher graders who can learn about music in-depth. In such circumstances, this study was focused on Jeongganbo to examine its uses and review the ways to teach singing by using it. To this end, the researcher analyzed the music textbooks for 11th graders only to confirm that Jeongganbo did satisfy students' interest in the traditional music. In addition, despite the traditional songs and music contained in the textbooks are not easy to learn, only the subject pieces are presented with no basic course for learning. Hence, the researcher felt necessary for some basic learning course and thereby, examined the ways to teach our traditional music to our students. The teaching guide suggested by this study consists of hierarchical pattern learning, physical expressions and comprehension learning integrated and modelling-centered imitating learning, all based on Gorden's learning theory and integrated music learning theory, while compromising between cognitism and behaviorism to tangibly confirm the theoretical understanding and learning effects. To this end, the researcher designed an auxiliary teaching material personally and used it to encourage students to express in lines what they had listened to, engage in singing activities, practice the pyongsijo 'Dongchangi' verbally through reading of yulm-yong, gu-um, sigimsae and Jeongganbo and then, sing the music with sigimsae. The pattern practice served to improve learning effects, and the practice of reading Jeongganbo was helpful to students to sing the music alone, having a better understanding of the songs and music. Moreover, students could enhance their listening and expressing ability through modelling after listening to sigimsae. As a result of applying the teach guide to the music classrooms and assessing students' responses to it through a questionnaire survey, it was found that many students had participated in the music classroom actively, while responding to the guide positively. Many students pointed out that the guide aroused their interest in music because it combined popular music and traditional melodies, and some students even suggested that it would be necessary to find the ways to keep our valuable traditional music heritage by using and preserving Jeongganbo. Based on the above findings, it was concluded that our traditional music education should be redesigned to encourage students to invest more time and efforts in learning it and that our music educators should be responsible for such educational reform. When Jeongganbo should be even used only for traditional music singing to enliven our own singing style, while it should be applied by music teachers to their music classrooms, Jeongganbo and our traditional music would develop and our traditional music education would be on a correct track. Lastly, it is hoped that this study will provide for some basic data conducive to enhancement of students' ability to use Jeongganbo and sing the songs with our own musical tones and thereby, facilitation of preparation for the century of culture
