입체조형 활동 집단미술치료가 유아의 창의성과 행복감에 미치는 효과 = The Effects of Group Art Therapy Utilizing Three-dimensional Art Activities on the Creativity and Happiness of Young Children

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 입체조형 활동 집단미술치료가 유아의 창의성과 행복감에 효과가 있는지 알아보고자 하였다.
연구대상은 서울시 D구의 H유아학교 6세반 유아로 참여 희망에 부모의 동의서를 받은 총 24명의 유아를 연구대상자로 선정하였으며, 각 12명씩 실험집단과 통제집단으로 무선 배치하여 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 기간은 2019년 9월부터 2019년 12월까지이며, 사전검사와 사후검사를 제외한 총 18회기 프로그램을 실험집단에게 주 1회 90분씩 실시하였다.
연구 도구로는 유아 종합 창의성 검사(K-CCTYC)와 유아 행복 척도(Happiness Scale for Young Children), 행복감 관찰 기록지를 사용하였다. 자료 분석에 앞서 창의성 검사 채점과 행복감 관찰 기록지의 각 항목에 대한 신뢰도를 높이기 위해 ICC 값을 산출하여 본 연구자를 포함한 총 4명의 채점자 간 신뢰도를 측정하였고, 연구결과의 양적 분석을 위해 IBM SPSS 25.0 프로그램을 활용하여 대응표본 t 검정(Paired Sample t-test)을 실시하여 변화를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 입체조형 활동 집단미술치료는 실험집단에 한하여 창의성의 4개 하위요인인 유창성, 융통성, 독창성, 상상력에서 통계적으로 유의미한 효과를 보였다.
둘째, 입체조형 활동 집단미술치료는 실험집단에 한하여 행복감의 9개 하위요인인 활동에 대한 부모 관계, 교사 관계, 또래 관계, 인지 및 성취, 몰입, 영성, 정서, 건강, 생활 만족에서 통계적으로 유의미한 효과를 보였다.
연구결과를 종합해 볼 때 입체조형 활동 집단미술치료 프로그램을 적용함으로써 유아의 창의성과 행복감 향상에 긍정적 효과가 있음이 확인되었으며, 현장에서 실시할 수 있는 프로그램으로 모색하였음에 의미가 있다. 이에 따라 유아가 주체적으로 표현할 수 있는 활동에서 몰입 및 내적 동기를 발휘하여 성취감을 느낄 수 있는 과정을 통해 자신의 경험에 대하여 긍정적으로 인식하며, 자신감을 가지고 능동적으로 문제를 해결해 나갈 수 있도록 본 연구를 활용한 치료적 접근에 유용한 기초자료가 될 수 있기를 기대해 본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to examine the effects of group art therapy using three-dimensional art activities on the creativity and happiness of young children.
The subjects were 24 six-year-olds from an undisclosed child care center in Seoul. The subjects, whose parents consented to their participation, were randomly assigned to an experimental or a control group of 12 each. The study period was September–December 2019, and the program was conducted over 18 weekly 90-minute sessions (excluding the pretest and posttest) with the experimental group.
Korean Comprehensive Creativity Test for Young Children (K-CCTYC), happiness scale for young children, and happiness observation records were employed as research tools. Before performing data analysis, in order to increase the reliability of K-CCTYC scores and items in the happiness observation records, ICC values were computed to measure the reliability among four scorers (including the author of this paper). For quantitative analysis of results, the program IBM SPSS 25.0 was used to perform paired sample t-test to analyze changes. The results of this study are as follows.
First, the effects of group art therapy focusing on arts and crafts activities were statistically significant only for the experimental group in four subcategories of creativity: fluency, flexibility, originality, and imaginativeness.
Second, the effects of group art therapy focusing on arts and crafts activities were statistically significant only for the experimental group in nine subcategories of happiness: relationship with parents, relationship with teachers, peer relationship, cognition and achievement, immersion, spirituality, emotion, health, and satisfaction with life.
These results confirmed that group art therapy focusing on arts and crafts activities exerted a positive influence by boosting creativity and happiness in young children. The program was significant because it explored what could be implemented on site. It is hoped that the findings of this study will serve as basic data for therapeutic approaches. This will help young children positively interpret their experiences and confidently and proactively solve problems by exercising immersion and intrinsic motivation in activities wherein they can engage in independent expression.
