해외 대학에서 K-MOOC를 활용하기 위한 마이크로러닝 콘텐츠 한국사 강좌 개발 및 운영 질적 사례 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 해외 대학에서 K-MOOC를 활용한 수업에 대한 해외 교수자와 해외 학습자의 경험을 분석하고, 이를 실제 수업에 적용하기 위한 마이크로러닝 콘텐츠 개발 및 운영 방안을 제시하는 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 국내 K 대학이 운영하는 K-MOOC 강좌를 마이크로러닝 콘텐츠로 개발하였으며, 본 강좌를 수강한 A 해외대학 한국학전공 소속의 해외 대학생 15명과 교수자를 대상으로 인터뷰를 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 K-MOOC 활용에 대한 전반적인 경험과 마이크로러닝 구성요소에 대한 학습자와 교수자의 인식으로 제시되었다. 해외 대학생들과 교수자 모두 초기 K-MOOC 사이트 접근에 어려움을 경험하였으나. 이들은 모두 학습 내용의 수준과 학습자료의 신뢰성에 대해 긍정적인 태도를 보였고, 학습자료를 손쉽게 취할 수 있는 점에서 만족감을 드러냈다. 동시에, 교수자는 제공된 K-MOOC를 대면 수업의 참고 자료로 활용할 때, 필요한 일부 강좌 영상을 자유롭게 편집할 수 있는 기능이 필요하다는 의견을 보였다. 마이크로러닝 콘텐츠의 구성요소 측면에서는 선수학습 확인과 학습평가 활동이 학습자에게 신선한 학습경험으로 나타났으며, 키워드 중심으로 구성된 콘텐츠는 사용자 측면에서 필요한 학습 내용을 선택하는데 용이하였고, 짧은 콘텐츠는 참고 자료 차원에서 학습 부담을 줄여주는 등 사용자들은 콘텐츠에 대해 전반적으로 만족하는 것으로 인식하였다. 반면, 학습 내용 확인을 위한 평가뿐만 아니라 확장적 사고를 위한 질문과 활동이 부족한 점으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구는 해외 대학에서 마이크로러닝의 K-MOOC 콘텐츠를 활용하기 위해, 영상은 어떻게 개발되어야 하고 강좌는 어떻게 운영할 것인지의 사례를 제시하고 시사점을 밝혔다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study analyzes cases of overseas instructors’ and learners’ educational experience in university using K-MOOC and proposes a method to develop micro-learning contents used on site. For conducting research, we developed a K-MOOC course operated by a domestic ‘K’ university into micro-learning contents and interviewed 15 overseas’s ‘A’ University students and instructors of Korean Studies who took the course. The results were presented in terms of the overall experience of using K-MOOC and users’ perceptions of micro-learning components. Both students and instructors initially had difficulty accessing the K-MOOC site in abroad. However, they showed a positive attitude toward the level of learning contents and reliable learning materials. And they were satisfied with obtaining of high-quality study material with easy. Simultaneously, instructors advised that video-editing function is necessary when using the provided K-MOOC contents as lecture reference materials. In terms of components of micro-learning contents, preliminary quiz and learning evaluation activities were impressive for students. Users were overall satisfied with it, because learning content organized by keywords allowed them to easily select the lectures they needed, and the short contents reduced learner’s burden. On the other hand, it was found that there was a lack of evaluation to confirm learning contents as well as questions and activities for expansive thinking. Based on the study, we presented examples of how to develop video contents and operate courses targeting users in overseas in order to use micro-learning K-MOOC contents.
