This study was intended to clarify the relation of participation in bowling and psychological happiness of characteristics of each individual and exercise conditions performing investigation with questionnaires on 246 adult males and females that resided in the city of Seoul.
According to the result of analyzing the responses through statistical verification, the conclusion has been derived as follows.
First of all, a degree of participating in bowling was related to the changes of psychological happiness according to the individual characteristics (gender, marriage status, age, career, and monthly income).
Secondly, there was less changes in the psychological happiness that was related to a degree of participating in bowling depending on individual characteristics (education level).
Third, there was nearly no correlation between participation in bowling and psychological happiness. However, there was a relationship in terms of a period of participating in bowling. In addition, there was less relationship between the frequency of participating in bowling and average exercise time.
The fact that the population mostly consisted of the subjects in their 20s might be the reason for impeding representative nature. Seen in this light, it is assumed that a study more focusing on the changes of exercise activities including bowling and psychological happiness should be conducted by establishing the representative population to serve as reliable baseline data.
