Recent trend of rising number of electric vehicles in Korea prompted government office to extend the measurement standard of DC energy meters up to 500 kW (1000 V, 500 A) for fast electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. To provide institutes for certification of DC energy meters with mandatory traceability to the international system of unit as National Metrology Institute, Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) developed a calibration system for reference meters of DC power and energy. The developed calibration system is able to cover the required voltage and current ranges (10 A ~ 3000 A, 10 V ~ 1100 V). The measurement uncertainty was evaluated as 0.02 % (k = 2).
