실용 글쓰기를 위한 비교과 프로그램 운영 사례 연구 －동국대학교 경주캠퍼스 ‘실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반’을 중심으로－ = A case study on the introduced the operation overview of the program lecture for Practical Writing -“Korean Practical Writing Examination (KPWE)” carried out by Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study introduced the operation overview of the program lecture “Korean Practical Writing Examination (KPWE)” carried out by Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus and its operational performance. On this basis, the primary objective of this study is to seek an efficient scheme of operating method of ‘KPWT preparation class.’Since October 2011, Dongguk University Gyeongju Campus started the operation of KPWT preparation class and the second session was carried out in the winter semester of the same year. From 2012 onward, KPWT preparation class was operated every semester and as of the 1st semester of 2014, the 7th session is being in progress. ‘KPWT preparation class’ recruits students at the beginning of the semester, and there are three times of short-answer question and multiple choice classes per week. And additional clinic is provided for short-answer questions if necessary. Students can develop job capacity by acquiring proper writing for practices through ‘KPWT preparation class.’ In addition, they can improve personal competitiveness by acquiring national certified qualification. In particular, the fact that the writing efficacy of participating students increases demonstrates that KPWT preparation class plays an important role in improving students’ efficacy, and also contributing to the improvement of function, reputation, interest and anxiety. This also means that it was made possible by the overall even increase of capacity of KPWT preparation class. Accordingly, if KPWT preparation class is intensified continually, it could maximize writing education performance and realize high level education.
The number of student who passed the test for the 6 sessions until the last year was 320 out of 362. The overall pass rate is 88.4%. Such high pass rate was made possible because various textbooks and operating methods were used in the course of 6 sessions. It is necessary to prepare the foundation of suitable and systematic writing skills by analyzing needs of students who are consumers. Furthermore, if the class is integrated to <Writing> subject, it may greatly contribute to the curriculum development of writing with practical views.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문은 동국대학교 경주캠퍼스에서 시행하고 있는 비교과 강좌 ‘실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반’의 운영 현황을 소개하고 운영 성과를 분석하고 있다. 이를 토대로 ‘실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반’의 운영 방식에 대한 효율적인 방안을 모색하는 것이 일차적인 목적이다.
동국대학교 경주캠퍼스에서는 2011년 10월을 시작으로 ‘실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반’을 운영하기 시작했고 같은 해 겨울 계절 학기에 2차를 진행했다. 2012년부터는 학기마다 1회 차를 기준으로 대비반을 운영했으며 2014년 1학기 현재, 7차 대비반을 운영하고 있다. ‘실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반’ 강좌는 학기 초에 수강생을 모집하고 일주일에 3회 주관식·객관식 수업으로 진행되며 필요에 따라 주관식에 대한 추가 클리닉을 진행하고 있다. ‘실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반’을 통해 학생들은 실무에 적합한 글쓰기를 습득함으로써 직무역량을 배양할 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 국가공인 자격증 취득을 통해 취업에 대비한 개인 경쟁력을 함양할 수 있다. 특히 참여 학생들의 글쓰기 효능감이 향상되었다는 점에 주목하면 실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반 강좌가 학생들의 효능감 향상에 주요한 역할을 하며, 기능·평판·흥미·불안 영역의 개선에 크게 기여한다는 사실이 나타났다. 이것은 실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반 능력 전반의 고른 상승이 가능함을 뜻하는 것이기도 하다. 따라서 실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반 강좌를 지속적으로 강화한다면, 글쓰기 교육의 성과를 극대화하여 수준 높은 교육이 실현될 수 있다.
2013년까지 6회에 걸친 시험의 합격자 수는 전체 응시자 362명 중에서 총 320명이며, 전체 합격률 평균은 88.4%이다. 이 같은 높은 합격률은 실용 글쓰기 검정시험 대비반이 6차에 걸쳐 진행되어 오는 동안 다양한 교재와 운영 방식이 활용되었기 때문이다. 앞으로도 수요자인 학생들의 요구를 분석하여 학생들에게 적합하고 체계적인 실용 글쓰기의 토대를 마련해주어야 할 것이다. 나아가 <글쓰기> 과목에 통합시킨다면 실용적 관점의 글쓰기 교과 교육 과정 개발에도 기여하는 바가 클 것이다.
