한중 주요 산업 투자 전략의 상호 영향 연구: 동남아 진출 전략을 중심으로 = A Study on the Mutual Influence of Major Industrial Investment Strategies between Korea and China: Focusing on Southeast Asia Entry Strategy

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 IPEF 지역 경제협력 체제에서 동남아 지역의 경제적 가치와 국제 투자 형태의 변화를 탐구하고, 한국과 중국의 동남아 주요 산업 투자 전략 및 상호 영향을 분석하였다. OLI 이론과 다중회귀분석을 이용하여 한국과 중국의 동남아 국가에 대한 투자 데이터를 분석하고, 제조업, 공공사업, 정보통신, 금융 등 개별 산업에서 한중 투자 동향 및 상호 영향을 파악하였다. 연구 결과, 중국의 동남아 지역 특정 산업에 대한 투자는 한국의 동남아 투자에 구축 효과를 보였으며, 특히 금융과 정보통신 분야에서 구축 효과가 크게 나타났다. 반면 한국과 중국은 동남아 지역의 공공사업 및 제조업 투자에서는 상호보완 효과가 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 한국은 IPEF의 정책적 지원을 활용하여 동남아 투자에서 중국과 차별화된 투자 전략을 수립함으로써 글로벌 공급망 재편 및 동남아 시장의 경쟁 심화에 대응할 수 있다. 본 연구는 국가의 장기적 경제성장을 도모하기 위한 지역 투자 전략 및 한중 투자 협력을 위한 정책 수립의 실증적 근거와 통찰력을 제시할 것이다.

This study explores the economic value of the Southeast Asian region and changes in international investment patterns within the IPEF regional economic cooperation system, and analyzes the major industrial investment strategies of Korea and China in Southeast Asia and their mutual influences. Using OLI theory and multiple regression analysis, this study analyzed investment data from Korea and China in Southeast Asian countries, and identified investment trends and mutual influences in individual industries such as manufacturing, public works, information & communication, and finance. The study found that China’s investment in specific industries in the Southeast Asian region had a crowding-out effect on Korea’s investment in Southeast Asia, with the crowding-our effect being particularly significant in the finance and information & communication sectors. In contrast, Korea and China showed complementary effects in their investments in manufacturing and public works in the Southeast Asian region. Based on the results of this study, Korea can utilize the policy support of the IPEF to establish differentiated investment strategies in Southeast Asia, thereby responding to the restructuring of global supply chains and the intensified competition in the Southeast Asian market. This study will provide empirical evidence and insights for regional investment strategies and policy formulation for Korea-China investment cooperation to promote long-term economic growth of the country.
