An Analysis on Chinese E-Business Research 1998~2017: Bibliometric Mapping Approach

The purpose of this study is to investi gate the intellectual structure of Chin ese e-business research using a bibli ometric mapping analysis of academic articles on e-business from 1998 to 2017. Specifically, it seeks to identify and evaluate the underlying structure of scholarly research in Chinese e-bu siness using 3011 pieces of article dr awn from Chinese Science Citation D atabase. The results show that Wang dingwei has the highest degree of col laboration in co-authorship clusters a nd mainly focus on logistics distributi on, e-supermarket website structure, auction pricing mechanism, and gene tic algorithm as research areas. In ke yword clusters, technology, business, security, and supporting web service clusters appeared in main; and that Deng AiLin (2003; 2004) is the most cited author with topic of collaborative filtering recommendation algorithm re search in Chinese e-business; Journ al of Software has the most cited sou rce, which has mainly research secti on such as collaborative filtering, gen etic algorithm, reputation, and trust c omputing. Further the study identifies that computer science is taken over 80 percent as the most major research areas of Chinese e-business research and business economics with over 18 percent as the following. The study discuss with implications of findings, its limitation, and directions for future research.
