栗谷 李珥의 理通氣局과 다문화윤리 = Yulgok Yi Yi(栗谷 李珥)'s LiTongGiGuk(理通氣局) and multicultural ethics

국문 초록 (Abstract)

다문화사회 윤리를 정립하기 위해서 율곡의 리통기국의 관점에서 접근하였다. ‘세계종교회의’ 선언에는 서양의 보편적 사유에 의거하여 공통된 가치를 추출하여 도덕 규범을 정립하였다. 이는 세계 각 문명의 특수한 상황과 덕목을 배제할 가능성이 있다. 따라서 다문화 시대의 보편 윤리는 차이성을 존중하면서도 각 문명이 준수할 수 있는 보편적 규범을 도출해야 한다. 이를 위해 율곡 이이의 理通氣局적 사유를 조망해 보았다. 율곡의 리통기국은 이전 성리학자들의 리일분수 사상을 계승하면서 개별적인 존재의 역사와 정체성을 인정하면서도 대화와 소통의 합리성을 제시하고 있다.
율곡의 대화와 소통의 윤리에서는 특정 문명의 가치가 보편 윤리로서 일반화될 수 없음을 제시해 준다. 인류를 비극으로 몰아넣는 것은 특정 문화가 자신의 상대적 합리성을 망각하고 절대적 지위를 점하면서 여타 문화를 종속시키려 할 때 발생한다. 따라서 세계 모든 문화는 스스로 상대적 합리성을 객관적으로 인식하고, 타 문화와의 대화와 소통을 통해 상호 보완적으로 발전해 나갈 때 비로소 인류는 평화와 공동 번영을 실현할 수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In order to establish the ethics of a multicultural society, it was approached from the perspective of Yulgok's Ri Tong Ki-guk. In the declaration of the 'World Religious Conference', common values were extracted based on universal Western thinking to establish moral norms. This has the potential to exclude the special situations and virtues of each civilization around the world. Therefore, the universal ethics of the multicultural era must respect differences and derive universal norms that each civilization can comply with. To this end, I looked at Yulgok's thoughts on the nationality of Ri Tong Ki. Yulgok's Ri Tong Ki-guk emphasizes the history and identity of individual beings while inheriting the Li Il fountain idea of previous Neo-Confucianists. Yulgok recognizes the specificity of individuals and presents the rationality of dialogue and communication.
It is important to understand that in Yulgok's ethics of dialogue and communication, the value of a particular civilization cannot be generalized as a universal ethics. When a particular culture forgets its relative rationality and tries to subordinate other cultures while occupying an absolute position, it causes humanity to tragedy. Therefore, only when all cultures in the world objectively recognize their relative rationality and develop complementarily through dialogue and communication with other cultures will humanity be able to realize peace and common prosperity.
