한글 캘리그라피 패션에서 나타난 아날로그적인 감성 = Analogue-like Emotion Expressed in Hangeul Calligraphy Fashion

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As high digital technology develops, demand for analogue emotion is maximized. This is unexceptional in the fashion design field as well. It can be said that Hangeul calligraphy fashion getting newly noticed these days is a typical example that shows how favorably analogue emotion in this digital age appeals consumers’ expectation and needs. Therefore, it is thought that now is the appropriate time to conduct this study on Hangeul calligraphy fashion which can possibly create high value added with unlimited growth potential. This article intends to figure out the chief points that can lead Hangeul calligraphy fashion to success. The range of this research is over the fashion brands’ clothes and calligraphic costumes displayed in inside and outside collections from the 2000’s up to now. The detailed contents of this study are as follows. First, this paper will investigate the concept of calligraphy and the examples of calligraphy design. It will also examine the analogue emotion internalized in calligraphy. Second, centering around the three largest cultural areas of calligraphy, this study will deal with the actual cases of calligraphy fashion. Third, it will examine the analogue emotion expressed in Hangeul calligraphy fashion in three areas. In conclusion, the successful combination of Hangeul calligraphy and fashion is centralized in maximizing the functional goal and visual image of the designed item through Hangeul calligraphy. In other words, the focus is on making the contents of fashion items and the visual factors of style original through the unartificial formativity of calligraphy and the concept of human-friendly scarcity. This kind of originality is what is being highly recognized in today’s fashion industry. All that are in common use in Korea are not international, but analogue emotion containing the essence of Korea is what is international. Since what can put the essence into fashion or one of the methodologies that can realize it can be the Hangeul calligraphy fashion, it is expected that fashion industry can develop further as extending into new areas

국문 초록 (Abstract)

첨단 디지털 기술이 발달할수록 아날로그 감성에 대한 요구는 극대화되며, 이는 패션디자인 분야에서도 예외가 아니다. 오늘날 새롭게 주목받고 있는 한글 캘리그라피 패션은 디지털 시대의 아날로그 감성이 소비자의 기대 요구에 얼마나 잘 소구되는가를 보여주는 대표적인 예이다. 그러므로 무한한 가능성으로 고부가가치를 창출할 수 있는 한글 캘리그라피 패션에 관한 연구의 필요성은 시기적절한 것으로 파악된다. 따라서 연구의 목적은 한글 캘리그라피 패션을 성공적으로 이끌 수 있는 핵심에 대하여 파악고자 하며, 연구의 범위는 2000년대부터 현재까지 국내외 컬렉션에 출품된 캘리그라피 의상과 패션브랜드의 의상을 중심으로 연구의 범위를 설정하였다. 구체적인 연구의 내용은 첫째, 캘리그라피에 대한 개념과 캘리그라피 디자인의 실례에 대하여 파악하고, 캘리그라피에 내재되어 있는 아날로그 감성에 대하여 이해하며, 둘째, 대표적인 캘리그라피의 3대 문화권을 중심으로 캘리그라피 패션에 대한 실질적인 사례에 대하여 연구하고, 셋째, 한글 캘리그라피 패션에 나타난 아날로그적인 감성에 대하여 3가지 부문으로 나누어 파악하고자 한다. 결론적으로, 한글 캘리그라피와 패션의 성공적인 결합은 디자인된 아이템의 기능적 목적과 시각적인 이미지가 한글 캘리그라피를 통해 극대화되는 것에 핵심이 있다. 즉, 패션 아이템이라는 콘텐츠와 스타일이라는 시각적인 요소를 캘리그라피의 비 인위적인 조형성과 인간 친화적인 희소성의 개념을 통해 독창화 시키는 것이 핵심이다. 한국에서 통용되는 모든 것이 세계적인 것이 아니라, 한국의 정수를 담은 아날로그적인 감성이 바로 세계적인 것이며, 그 정수의 내용을 패션에 담아내는 것, 그 방법론중의 하나가 한글 캘리그라피 패션일 수 있다는 점에서 패션계의 새로운 영역 확대로의 발전 가능성에 기대를 건다.
