Korea shipbuilding industry is currently having prosperity and, it is expected that they will keep their lead up for ten years from now.
However, to line up the global competitiveness of Korea shipbuilding industry, Making inroads into a higher value-added business and Securing highly skilled human resources that can manage the business are subjected to the future task.
As stated above, There were some surveys given on employees who are working in the shipbuilding industry to come up with proper plans.
The survey was held for fourteen days from April 17, 2008 to April 26, 2008.
Out of 107 surveys that were collected, 96 of them were looked over.
The summary of the result was as follows.
First of all, informing and increasing the chance of employment through public media actively is needed to secure human resources.
Secondly, the reinforcement of a training program that can grow teamwork, ability to adapt in a company, honesty, and creativity is necessary.
Thirdly, actively informing of the training program within a company and making more number of employees to experience various training programs are suggested to increase the productivity and efficiency of the work.
The limitation and weakness of this research is the fact that it is based on the theories from various areas of studies due to the lack of the theoretical background about shipbuilding industry and development of human resources. and, The study of shipbuilding industry employees from more various regions to come up with the research on shipbuilding industry and development of human resources with more depth is needed.
