정신질환을 가지고 있는 대학생들에 대한 대학 내 서비스와 상담전략에 대한 제언: 정신재활서비스의 적용을 중심으로 = Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services and Counseling Strategies for College Students with Mental Illness

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 급격히 악화되고 있는 대학생들의 정신건강과 그로 인한 사건사고를 고려볼 때 대학생들의 정신질환은 더 이상 묵과할 수 없는 중요한 사회적 이슈가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 정신질환을 효과적으로 관리하고 일상생활과 학업을 유지하게 하는데 효과성이 검증된 정신재활을 소개하였다. 정신재활은 재활상담의 한 방편으로서, 대학생들에게 제공할 수 있는 대학 내 서비스의 기능을 가지고 있다. 대학 내 기관인 대학상담센터, 교수학습센터, 장애학생지원센터에서 제공할 수 있는 정신재활서비스의 일환으로서 지원교육, 예방교육과 위기개입, 약물복용과 부작용관리 및 관련법령의 활용, 다양한 매체를 활용한 상담전략의 개발에 대해서 소개하였다. 이러한 정신재활서비스가 신체질환을 가진 학생들 뿐 아니라 정신질환을 가진 학생들에게도 자퇴율을 낮추고 졸업율을 높이는데 효과가 있었던 구체적인 개입전략임이 논의되었다. 끝으로 대학 내 정신재활서비스의 보급과 정착을 위한 기본원칙과 정책적 지원 및 한국의 대학 상황을 고려한 대안에 대하여 제언하였다.
