영화 “드래프트 데이(Draft Day)”를 활용한 협상 교육 콘텐츠 개발 = Development of Educational Content for Negotiations Using the Movie “Draft Day”

국문 초록 (Abstract)

협상 교육의 목적은 협상에 영향을 미치는 상황적 요인과 협상 전략, 협상의 과정을 이해함으로써 실제 협상에서 더 나은 결과를 얻을 수 있도록 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 협상 교육에서는 구체적인 경험에 대한 면밀한 관찰과 분석을 통해 일반화된 개념을 도출하고, 이를 새로운 상황에 적용하는 경험학습 모형(experiential learning model)이 활용된다. 스토리텔링의 시청각적 형태인 영화는 갈등상황에 놓인 등장인물들의 이야기를 압축적으로 보여주어 영화 속 등장인물의 갈등 상황을 분석해 볼 수 있는 기회를 제공해 준다는 측면에서 협상 교육의 텍스트로서 많은 장점이 있다. 그럼에도 불구하고 교육자나 학습자 입장에서 활용할 수 있는 협상 관련 영화에 대한 연구가 부족하다. 이러한 배경에서 본 연구는 협상 교육의 텍스트로써 적합한 영화 ‘드래프트 데이’를 협상 이론 관점에서 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과가 협상에 대한 관심을 제고하고 협상 이론을 학습하는 데 도움이 되는 콘텐츠로 활용되기를 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of negotiation education is to understand the situational factors affecting the negotiations, the negotiation strategy and the process of the negotiations so that learners can get better results in actual negotiations. Negotiation education uses an experiential learning model that derives generalized concepts through close observation and analysis of specific experiences and applies them to new situations. The Movies, an audiovisual form of storytelling, have many advantages as a text of negotiation education in that they provide an opportunity to analyze the conflict of characters in the film by compressively showing the stories of characters. Nevertheless, there is a lack of research on negotiation-related films that can be used by educators and learners. This study analyzed the movie ‘Draft Day’, which is suitable as the text of negotiation education. I expect the results of this study to be used as content to enhance interest in negotiations and to help us learn negotiation theory.
