This paper conducts a thorough analysis of the cultural content within the 2015 revised “ChineseⅠ” textbooks for high schools, focusing on cultural learning elements and activities. It identifies a bias towards traditional culture themes and a lack of representation of contemporary Chinese development. Addressing these shortcomings requires the development of diverse and comprehensive teaching content and methodologies. Additionally, advocating for the inclusion of both traditional and modern cultural aspects in the 2022 revised textbooks is essential to achieving the ultimate goals of cultural education.
