인문지리 공간의 스토리텔링 기록, 海藏 申錫愚의 연작 악부시 = A record of storytelling in historical geography, A series of Akbu poems by Haejang Shin Seok-woo

In the 19th century, there was a lot of interest in the history and affiliates of their country. This trend has been gradually strengthened since the late 17th century. Its beginning is from the early Joseon Dynasty.
Sejong(世宗) and Seongjong(成宗) ordered ministers to collect human geography information. After that, various human geographic information that existed in the region was collected. In addition, poems and prose that are handed down in the region are also included. These pieces of information were not yet strongly tied together, and each existed segmentally. However, when composing the narrative of human life in the region, it can be a valuable material. This kind of attempt has influenced many writers since then. And finally, it served as an opportunity to heighten society's interest in human geography space. The king and the state led all the work, and the results were published as a book. Accordingly, interest in human geography must have increased in the literary society from the early Joseon Dynasty.
This trend has continued ever since. In the first half of the 19th century, interest in human geography was heightened in the literary world, and many poems were created. At this time, Akbu poems(樂府詩) writers created many series of Akbu poems(樂府詩), and it seems that they intended to compose narratives, that is, storytelling, set in human geography space. It is necessary to pay attention to this point and examine the possibility of using Akbu poems(樂府詩) as narrative content. In this article, we looked at the case of Shin Seok-woo, who represents the group of Akbu poems(樂府詩) writers of this period. Through this, it is hoped that we can understand the composition and character of the contents of the Akbu poems(樂府詩) series at that time.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

19세기 조선 문인 지식인 사회에 자국 역사와 산하에 관한 관심이 높았다. 이런 경향성은 17세기 후반 이후로 점차 강화되었다. 하지만 그 시작은 이미 조선 전기에 있었다.
세종과 성종은 지리 공간의 인문 정보를 집성하라고 조정 대신에게 명하였다. 이때 지역에 존재하는 여러 가지 지리 정보를 모으고, 해당 지역에 전하는 시문을 끼워 넣게 하였다. 이 개별 정보들은 아직은 강하게 결속되지 않고 분절적으로 존재하지만, 해당 지역을 무대로 이루어진 인간 삶의 서사를 구성하는 소중한 재료로 활용할 수 있다. 아울러 초기의 새로운 시도는 이후 많은 문인 지식인에게 영향을 끼치고, 마침내 지리 공간의 인문적 현상에 대한 사회적 관심을 고조시키는 계기가 되었을 것이다. 국왕이 나서고 국가가 주도하여 일련의 작업을 진행하고 그 결과를 책으로 간행하였기에, 이에 따라 그 영향이 적지 않았을 것으로 짐작한다.
이런 경향은 이후로 지속되어, 마침내 19세기 전반의 문단과 시단에서 이를 주제로 하는 많은 시문이 창작되게 하는 배경이 되었다. 이 시기에 이르러 한 지역을 범주로 묶어 창작한 많은 연작 악부시가 제출되었는데, 이를 대표하는 사례로서 신석우의 두 작품을 검토해보았다. 이를 통해 당시 악부시 작가들의 창작 의식 속에, 지리 공간을 기반으로 산출된 인문 정보를 엮어 공간 서사를 구성하려는 의도, 곧 스토리텔링의 의도가 내재하고 있었음을 엿볼 수 있었다. 따라서 이 악부시 작품들이 공간 서사, 곧 지역 콘텐츠 재료로써 활용할 가치가 충분함을 알 수 있었다. 이에 관한 다양한 검토가 필요하다.
