혼성적 사회에의 서사적 대응 = An Essay on the Representative Skills of Narrative in Hybridization Society -Though the Analysis of Specific Characters on Chang-rae Lee's Novel

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Chang-rae Lee’s novels are showing indistinct plots and construct characters. Those are his specific representative skills. Especially, Native Speaker, Chang-rae Lee first but superbly-written novel, presents a Korean-American who is caught in a culture dilemma. The main message of this novel is for immigrants how to live in hybridization society and how to overcome ethnocentrism. The indistinct plot corresponds immigrants’ senses of estrangement in culture, language, ethnic in narrative. There are no clearness in those lives. They confused who I am?, where is my mainland, what is my identity, how to get bright future. They had been experiences of dismantling their culture identity. They have conducted themselves. So that main characters in Chang-rae Lee’ s novels, could constructed multiple character in each network. Characters are animated and more important element in Chang-rae Lee’s novels. Those are representative skills of narrative in hybridization society. Chang-rae Lee spokes those are a method of dismantling ethnocentrism as well as a method of life in post-modern society.
