      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I discussed Dasan Jeong Yak-yong's understanding of Yin-yang(陰陽) Wuxing(五行), a representative figure of the Silhak faction in the late Joseon Dynasty, and the academic theory based on it. In particular, Dasan's views on the characteristics of Yin-yang and Wuxing and the principles derived from it were analyzed, and I would like to discuss the perspectives of various disciplines viewed by Dasan, who has an understanding of Yin-yang and Wuxing that is different from the existing positions.
Dasan seems to recognize yin and yang as a thinking system that compares them to objects and understands them as Duidai(對待)'s relationship. Therefore, it is different from the way he perceives Yin-yang as a fundamental object that exists by distributing them to Heaven(天) and Earth, respectively. It is different from logic, which explains the fundamental creation principle of everything that begins with heaven and earth. This may have originated from Dasan's perception of Heaven, which is different from Neo-Confucianism.
Dasan said that there are only five objects in the five elements, and there is no basis for pairing five colors, five sounds, five organs, and five kings. It is also said that dividing into four, ten, and twelve branches and allocating them to the five elements is also a groundless strange thing. In the end, Dasan said that the five elements are merely things necessary for life, and it is meaningless to classify the properties and properties of each object by Leibie(類別).
Dasan accepted yin and yang from the perspective of Yin-yang Duidai, but it was confirmed that there were not a few parts that interpreted Yin-yang and Wuxing, contrary to the traditional perspective, by accepting Western academic knowledge called Western studies. This can confirm that even in the areas of medicine, feng shui(風水), and Astrology based on Yin-yang and Wuxing, Wuxing is recognized only as an object, Wuxing classification called Leibie was not accepted.
