This paper proposes the results and improvements obtained through the online teaching practicum conducted by Japanese graduate students and Korean university students in the Japanese language teacher training course. The Japanese graduate students who participated in the practicum found it difficult to create lesson plans and organize class activities, but they overcame these difficulties and completed the lessons through teamwork with other trainees in the online international teaching practicum. Although creating individual lesson plans is important in teaching practicum, it can be seen that they grow as pre-service teachers as they created lesson plans and organized class activities based on teamwork. In addition, the Korean students gained confidence in using Japanese through the international online teaching practicum and confirmed the possibility of development. Above all, they recognized that international teaching practicums using online methods are possible, while existing teaching practicums are limited to domestic use, and furthermore, they positively evaluated the international online teaching practicum. Furthermore, it can be said that this experience allowed them to accumulate experience as pre-service teachers by analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of teaching practicums in Korea and Japan, and also gave them an opportunity to recognize the necessity of international online teaching practicums. This study is significant in that it is the first to plan and carry out an international teaching practice between Japan and Korea, presenting a new model, and providing students with an opportunity for a new experience that differs from the existing teaching practice programs.
