외래관광객의 숙박시설 선택에 관한 연구 = A Study of the Factors Affecting the Choice of Accommodation When Foreign Tourists Travel Domestically

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors affecting the choice of accommodation when foreign tourists travel domestically through the 5-year panel data. First, we analyzed the factors in selection of singular and multiple accommodation facilities among individual tourists using binomial regression analysis. The results showed that the higher the female and age group, the more of Chinese registrant, the higher the number of visits, the shorter the period, the more the number of companions, the higher the preference for single accommodation. Also, the greater the range of fluctuations in the exchange rate, the higher the tendency to choose a singular accommodation facility. Next, we analyzed the factors of selection according to type by classifying types of singular accommodation facilities. We conducted multinomial logistic analysis by classifying the type as type 1 as a hotel, type 2 as a low-priced accommodation, and type 3 as others. The tendency to choose Type 1 is highly correlated with being a female, the higher the age group, the higher the number of companions, and the shorter the trip duration. Also, the greater fluctuations in exchange rates had a relatively high impact on the selection of type 1 facility. It is expected that this research will provide some implications about the characteristics difference between the types of accommodation and which type of customer.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 외래관광객이 국내여행을 할 때 숙박시설 선택에 영향을 미치는 요인을 5개년 패널 데이터를 활용하여분석한 것이다. 먼저 개별여행관광객 중에서 단수와 복수의 숙박시설 선택요인을 분석하였다. 결과로는 여자이고나이가 많을수록, 중국인일수록, 방문 횟수가 많거나 단기간 체류할수록, 동반자수가 많을수록 단수의 숙박시설을선호하는 것으로 예측되었다. 또한, 환율변동이 클수록 단수를 선택하는 것으로 예측되었다.
다음으로 단수숙박시설의 유형을 구분하여 유형별 선택요인을 분석하였다. 다항로짓을 활용하여 유형1은 호텔, 유형2는 저가 숙박시설, 유형3은 기타시설로 구분하고 분석하였다. 여자일수록, 나이가 많을수록, 동반자수가 많을수록, 단기체류 일수록 유형1을 선택하는 것으로 나타났다. 이를 통해 숙박시설 유형들 대비 어떠한 특성차이를 보이는지와 특성차이에 따라서 각 유형별 공급자들이 어떠한 고객 타겟 전략을 가져가야 할지에 대한 시사점을 제공한다.
