목회서신을 통해 본 교회 리더십에 관한 연구 = A Study on Church Leadership Through the Pastoral Epistles

This study emphasizes the importance of the role of the church leaders in dealing with the crisis situation of the Korean church today and the development of the Korean church in the future. In particular, we study church leadership and the qualifications and role of pastors. To do this, we review the main trends in pastoral theology, the problems faced by pastors, and the qualification and role of church leadership in the Pauline Pastoral Epistles (1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus), to suggest good pastoral leadership appropriate in the 21st century. As for the pastoral leadership qualifications found in the Pastoral Epistles, the pastor must be a person who is self-controlled, who manages his household well, is respected by the church, and is well thought of by unbelievers in the world. In addition, the most important role and ministry of the pastor is proclaiming the Word, teaching the correct doctrine, and nurturing the congregation. The recent world trend demands human-centered leadership in the flow of humanism values ​​and postmodernism through the influence of world view and values, but in the 21st century, the leader of the church has the qualities of vocation, holiness and professionalism, and must be a person who performs the public office with public recognition. Pastoral leadership in the 21st century, in particular, requires professional leadership, servant pastoral leadership, and superior spiritual leadership.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 오늘날 한국교회가 처한 위기상황을 잘 대처하고 향후 지속적인 한국교회의 발전을 위해 교회 지도자들의 역할이 매우 중요하다는 것을 강조하고, 특히 교회 리더십과 목회자들의 자격과 역할에 대해 연구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 목회신학의 주요흐름과 목회자들이 당면한 문제점, 사도 바울의 목회서신(디모데전서, 디모데후서, 디도서)에 나타난 교회 리더십의 자격조건과 역할, 21세기 바람직한 목회자 리더십에 대해 고찰하였다. 목회서신에 나타난 교회 리더십의 자격조건으로 자기 스스로를 잘 감독하며, 가정을 잘 감독하고, 교회의 인정을 받는 사람, 세상에서도 신앙인으로서 인정을 받는 사람으로 규정하고 있다. 또한 목회자의 역할과 사역에 대해서는 말씀을 선포하는 일, 즉 가르치기를 잘하고 바른 교훈을 가르치며 양육하는 일을 가장 중요하게 다루고 있다. 최근의 세상풍조는 인본주의 가치관과 포스트모더니즘의 흐름 속에 세계관과 가치관 등의 영향을 받아 인간중심의 지도력을 요구하고 있으나 21세기 교회 리더는 소명의식과 거룩성 및 전문성의 자질을 갖추고 하나님의 사명을 헌신적으로 잘 수행하며, 공적인 임명을 받아 공직을 수행하는 사람이어야 한다. 특히 21세기 목회 리더십은 전문성을 가진 리더십, 서번트 목회 리더십, 탁월한 영성을 가진 리더십을 필요로 한다.
