This study examined the effect of exercise after induction of muscle disuse atrophy on apoptosis related gene, Caspase-3 m-RNA. We divided the mice (ICR) after induction of muscle disuse atrophy into 2 groups: exercise (20 mice) and non-exercise (20 mice). Analyses were made comparing among time periods of stable base, one day, three day, five day, and seven day after treatment. In each group, three mice were decapitated cervically during which apoptosis related gene, Caspase-3 m-RNA were compared. The Caspase-3 m-RNA expression showed a significant statistical difference in non-exercise group's 3rd, 5th, and 7th days (p<.001). When stabilized, there was little significant difference in non-exercise group's 1st day. Based on the results, it could be interpreted as that a steady increase load training method can be more effective than continued stability in patients who have the muscle atrophy due to an accident or a bed safety muscular power exercise insufficiency treatment. Caspase-3 m-RNA that promotescell death showed a significant statistical increase.
