6∼7세기 전반 신라 신주의 재편과 海門 당항성의 관방 체계 = Reorganization of Sinju and the Defense System of ‘Sea Gate’ Danghangseong Fortress in Silla from the 6th to the First Half of the 7th Centuries

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 글은 6～7세기 전반 신라 당항성의 관방 체계를 신주의 재편 과정과 당성 일대 도서 환경을 분석해 접근한 것이다. 당항성은 신라중국을 잇는 뱃길의 시작점, 즉 신라의 ‘海門’이었다.
신라는 555～558년 대중 외교 창구로 당항성을 두었고, 당항성의 관방체계는 신주의 재편과 연관되었다. 568～603년의 신주 주치는 南川이었다.
648년까지 당항성 관방 체계 구축의 기본 방향은 백제를 주요 적국으로 상정하고, 남천-國原小京 간 방어체계를 위주로 구축하는 것이었다. 당항성의陸防 체계는 648년까지 기본 방향을 유지하나, 627 643년 백제가 신주 한산주 남부를 공격하려는 의지를 보이자 강화되었다.
당항성의 海防 체계는 당성 일대 도서 환경을 분석해 접근할 수 있다.
당성 일대 도서는 방어 경계 등 해방의 거점으로 활용되었다. 당항성의해방 체계는 ‘가상의 2중 內海’를 설정한 후, 이를 5개 해역으로 세분하여구축되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study examines the official defense system of Danghangseong Fortress in Silla from the 6th to the first half of the 7th centuries by analyzing the reorganization process of Sinju(新州)) and the environment of insular areas around Dangseong Fortress. The fortress was the starting point of the sea route connecting Silla and China, in other words, the ‘sea gate (海門)’ of Silla.
From 555 to 558, Silla established Danghangseong Fortress as a diplomatic channel to China and its defense system was related to the reorganization of Sinju. The provincial capital of Sinju was Namcheon (南川) from 568 to 603. Until 648, the basic orientation of the Danghangseong Fortress defense system was to assume Baekje as a major enemy nation and to build a defense system between Namcheon and Gukwon-sogyeong (國原小京).
The land defense system maintained its basic posture until 648, but was more reinforced when Baekje showed its willingness to attack Sinju and the southern part of Hansanju (漢山州) in 627 and 643. The sea defense system on the other hand can be approached by analyzing the environments of the islands around Dangseong Fortress. The islands were used as a base for the defense of the sea such as resistance and vigilance. The sea defense system was established by setting a ‘virtual double inland sea’ and then subdividing it into five sea sectors.
