With improvement of the computer simulation technique for crashworthiness, passive safety of vehicles has been much enhanced. Intrinsically train collision accident is more complicate and dangerous than automobile crash one. The overriding phenomena occurring in train collision often result in many casualties. In this paper, in order to evaluate overriding behavior at train collision, 2-dimensional multi dynamic model is developed using the explicit nonlinear dynamic finite element code of LS-Dyna. This modelling technique will help designers to determine the specifications of anti-climbing devices. In addition, it is evaluated that the height of center of gravity of vehicle effects on overriding displacement.
