This study is a consideration and an analysis of each subject of 362 papers relating to Japanese language included in “The Journal of Japanese Language and Literature” from 1993 to 2013 after classifying as nine such as Language General, history of Japanese Language, phone and phonology, letter and notation, vocabulary and term, grammar, sentence · discourse and style, dialect, a comparative study.First of all, looking into trend of year change papers relating to Japanese language, 2~3 papers were published from 1993 to 1994. While rising in about 10~15 papers published from 1995 to 2001, less than 10 papers are being published temporarily 2002 to 2003. However it is dramatically increased starting from 2004 and about 25 papers are being published a year. And a sketchy trend for subject of each field with total 362 papers relating to Japanese language show grammar 142(39.2%), a comparative study 87(24.0%), vocabulary and term 51(14.1%), letter and notation 25(6.9%), phone and phonology 20(5.5%), sentence · discourse and style 19(5.3%), Language General 8(2.2%), history of Japanese Language 8(2.2%), dialect 2(0.6%). Grammar and a comparative study hold 229(63.2%)over than half among others.
